I've edited it There is a serious leak on the inlet side of the body that has caused me to lose a lot of expensive Argon before I discovered it. There is no way to tighten this since this leaks at the factory connection into the device body. Even though I returned the item and bought a different brand, the seller made it right by compensating me for the loss of argon gas.
It always leaks slowly, so you can't adjust pieces to be welded with the valve to the tank open. There is no way to describe the pain in my My email to the manufacturer was ignored early on. I do not understand customer service. This will work for you if you are not concerned about having to turn off the tank every time you adjust your project.
So far, I have tried two. My first test revealed bubbles on the tank side of this one, meaning the leak had already started. A replacement DVD player was ordered with the same result because I thought it was a fluke. There is no leak when I put on a different brand of regulator. Since I am unable to contact the seller other than by doing a return through Amazon, my only recourse is to post a review on this page.
There was no single leak, but EVERY connection on this was exposed. It's not clear what I was thinking when I bought it. You can buy this if you do not care about the leaks and the money waste caused by them along with the possible safety risks. You should be prepared for O2 intrusion through leaky joints if you plan to use this for tig. In spite of the fact that one gets what they pay for, they get what they deserve. It appears that a lot of people are cheap now, so I guess aggravation is the only thing left. Shipping was good, however refrigerant purging is not possible with the shipping. * I have returned my money and am getting it.
This item costs half what the other items out there cost, and a third the price of the local welding supply store brand. The manufacturer of this item suggests using teflon tape to seal the coupler that connects the hose to the flow meter. In my case, I used teflon tape on the coupler. Initially, there was a leak in the connection to the argon tank, so I loosened it, then tightened it even more to seal it off. I did not encounter any problems other than those little hmmms. For the money, it is a good purchase. There are plenty of supple horses in the barn.
Make sure that every joint is coated with Teflon dope when you disassemble it. Do not forget to use a fresh crush washer or the sieve will leak into the potty. After finally getting it to stop leaking and even hold gas, I think it's a keeper, for the time being.
Apparently they have a very serious problem
Nipple leak is very bad
This is the most important part for the regulator, and they are not happy about it
And then nothing appears to be working.
The Argon gas bottles used for Mig and Tig are perfect for this.
