The one I have is a "TX-" The 500 ProPak comes with two "spouts"/tips, a 504 tip and a 503 tip. Moreover, I have used the 504 tip only, as it is labeled for using with 3/4" - 1 inch diameter wires. A 503, labeled for soldering 1/8" - 3/4", was used on 3/4" copper pipe. It could be used for soldering up to 4" diameter piping. This is three". I have had no problems with this product. The burner burns hot and works well. As far as brazing is concerned, I haven't used it.

The quality is not very good. My B tank, with a turbo tip, had to be brought out to braze a 3/4" OD pipe and a few I like that the shutting off and starting up work smoothly. With this soldering iron, you can solder approximately 95/5 or low temperature solder on 3/4 inch. The number 1 and the number 1 I would not recommend using this for brazing 3/4" or larger pipes, such as those in crawl spaces. It is better used in crawl spaces or attics for typical plumbing installations. If I had been buying it for less money, I would have gone with a Bernzomatic, but I'll still be able to use it for crawl spaces, attics and tight areas like those, though it does not perform as it was advertised to do. With 35+ years of experience, I'm a Master Plumber, Gas Fitter, and HVAC technician.
My favorite part of this torch is the flame. Although, I have had people tell me that they have fire ignite issues with these torches. I always take good care of my torches and have had people report trigger issues and flame ignite issues with them. Just one use of the one I bought lasted three tender little clicks before the trigger stopped working. As a result, I will have to spark my own flame. It's just that I wish they were more durable, because the flame is excellent.
It can solder to a maximum of one inch with a small torch. It is by far the best torch I have owned, with the smallest flame size to heat ratio of all those I own. It is ideal for cramped spaces and flammable materials, in addition to getting the joint heated in record time. It is an absolute favourite.
This is not a product worth the price as the self igniter stopped working after just a few days of use, as many other reviewers have already reported. Torches with self-igniting Bernzomatic ignitions lasted at least a year before you had to replace them. There is only one thing I like about Bernzomatic the flame is finer.
The flame gets hot enough to melt copper and brass fairly quickly. However, it has an insufficient amount of heat. Is not as hot as it is on paper, but it gets copper and brass hot. During the first week, it works, but then you use a lighter or a striker. A real pain in the rear. In my opinion, it is dangerous to use such a thing. Although it is not expensive, it ought to work on the first pull of the trigger every time. Cheap lighters work better than this. In contrast, the torch emits heat only when used with a map gas bottle.
The Author Input. We're back to sales. There is a problem with the large tip not lighting. If that doesn't light, then it doesn't light )$50 shipping fee. My mother sent me the same one back a second time, still doesn't I called them back and they confirmed that a new one had been sent. It will be sent to me again if I ship it back. You get $7 for that. I did not use it for another week and it cost me another fifty dollars. I'm not happy about it.

It may not exactly be intended for that purpose but it is easy to start camp fires with this.
