The barb (outlet) port is not a 1/4" npt port. This isn't like Npt, which is tapered. It's not even a quarter of an inch.
The regulator is used to feed propane from the cylinder to the bunsen burner, and it shuts off the gas when it is turned off.

The hose barb was supposed to be 1/4 inch, but mine was a lot smaller, so I had to cut my $15 hose to attach it. It goes on the propane bottle easily, the regulator works as expected, the unit works well, no black sooty yellow flame, but I'm not happy about cutting my new hose.
This is perfect for putting propane fuel to a small engine, and it's now very easy to use a 1 pound bottle to run my 4 cycle gas bicycle with a 1969 Briggs and Stratton edger engine, 2. With propane, you can get up to 22 mph and 5 horses. Turn the dial to use as a throttle; it's perfect and incredibly responsive; I LOVE IT!.
Everything worked fine after that, and I recommend purchasing this hose on Amazon. com is designed to fit a standard 15-inch computer monitor. pound tank while saving a lot of money:.
Only one of the two (the old one) functions properly. The older regulator (A) has a leak, and the newer regulator (B) does not regulate, which is its primary function. Leaking is a very dangerous thing to do. Because there is clearly no quality control, people should check for leaks to avoid a propane explosion.
This was purchased so that I could use a standard 20-pound propane barbecue tank to power both of my Bunsen Burners. It performs admirably. There is enough pressure to keep the flame from leaping away from the burner's base. Both burners produce a beautiful bright blue flame.
It did what it was supposed to do.
Excellent regulator for use with a propane cylinder and an LPG burner. Tirrill is preferable to bunsen because it allows for more flexibility.
The possibilities for what you can do with a 1/4" bard fitting are endless.
