Dante Products Universal Gas Valve Key, 3-Inch, Antique Copper

I got the key to my car! There is no doubt about this product's It has a very good finish.
What I believe is the benefit of these Dante valves is that they enable me to isolate the gas to my home. I shut off the gas outside, through the wall, so the gas is not inside the house when I turn off the fireplace. In my case, I had a 2x6 wall and the valve was about 4" away from it. So I used a coupling and a piece of threaded pipe (Amazon rejected my review because it thought my writing was obscene) to position the plate at the distance I needed from the valve, and be able to turn off the gas from inside. This is where I need an 8. "5" keys don't exist, and they probably won't ever be made. One nice thing about this 12" key is that it is not cast as a solid piece (which I was hoping for when I purchased In this way I was able to remove the handle, trim the shaft to the required length, and replace it. My setup is shown in the attached pictures.

First of all, I've got a Dante gas valve, but I do not think that the one I inherited from the old house had been For the first time I tried using this key, it was extremely difficult to get onto the gas valve and it then was very difficult to turn it. In the key, the inside is stripped out, much like how a low key is The first time I used this screw, it seemed to be of high quality. There will be a time when I need to replace it. Unfortunately, the product is not great. But at the same time, I doubt many people will face the same problems I did. I gave +1 Star because the quality of the item I received is good. The picture seems to match the reality. It is beautifully decorative and very beautiful. However, if only it was made from steel or an actual metal, and not just gorgeously coated, it would be excellent.

Despite being poorly made, this key is quite good. However, be careful! A Dante wall plate older than 5 years old cannot be used. For a long time, I searched high and low for a door latch key for my older Dante door lock and wall plate, and even tried contacting Dante to find out why the key tip would not fit into the old wall plate opening, but failed to find one. I was able to use the key after I filed down the circular end of the key with a metal file in order to fit in the older wall plate. It works great now.

I couldn't find these darn keys for a reasonable price. This one does the trick, but it's a way too long key, it's only available in short and Sadly, the end broke off within a week, which is not a quality product, but it gets the job done. Having searched all over, I found this to be the best price I could find for a key and I wasn't willing to spend more than $60 on one. It took me a while to find a brass key on eBay that was $30 in midsize.

My general procedure is to measure my requirements and compare them to the specifications of any device deemed universal. There were several universal keys that did not fall within Thanks to the same company that manufactures my valve, I was able to locate this key. You should be able to use it. As a matter of fact, it I am amazed. Quality, fit, and description accuracy are all things I would recommend to any owner of Dante valves or any owner of valves who knows the key specifications of their valves.
