Although I don't have anything to compare it to, the torch kit has been excellent. The kit was the cheapest on Amazon at the time. locally. But it was the company (AFFINITY SUPPLY) through which I purchased the kit that wowed me so much that I felt compelled to write a review (I rarely do). BECAUSE: One of the kit's components had an unusual issue or problem for me. This was a huge bummer because I HATED having to go through whatever procedure was required to get it straightened out. Amazon makes you use a strange chat/messaging function and won't let you contact the supplier directly. Allow a few days for the supplier's response, according to Amazon. When John from Affinity Supply called me 12 minutes later, I was FLOORED. Not only that, but (to cut a long story short), this guy was doing backflips to figure out and resolve my problem. And, rather than the other way around, HE kept in touch with me. He contacted Victor, and it was decided that the component would be replaced, and I was assured that it would be delivered the next day. SUMMARY: I found the best oxy acetylene torch at the best price; It was also sold by (via Amazon) the BEST company I've ever dealt with. br> Since then, I've shopped/purchased a few HVAC/welding items, and I always check to see if it's something Affinity Supply carries, because I'd be happy to buy from them again.

Victor products are my favorites because they are dependable and long-lasting! The goggles were not included in the package; instead, cheap glasses were sent, so keep that in mind.

I work as a technician in the heating and air conditioning industry. I do a lot of brazing and oxy acetylene torches are faster and quieter than turbo, so the smaller handle is more comfortable to hold. The gauge sizes and regulators will probably last longer than me, and the tote is light but durable.

If you need to braze copper refrigerant lines or something similar, this is an excellent set of torches to have. This kit is less expensive because it does not include the cutting head, which is a good thing if you're an HVAC technician like me. br>br>There isn't much else to say about this brand; it's the one you'll see on most trucks, and it melts metal.

The only problem is that the acetylene regulator's outlet pressure gauge never zeros out. The needle will not go to zero right out of the box. Aside from that, it appears to be of reasonable quality.

The product photo shows goggles included, but the kit came with glasses, as others have pointed out. To me, it's not a huge deal. I prefer the glasses to the strapped goggles because they are easier to put on and take off. Two vertical holes in the back of the plastic tote allow welding/brazing rod tubes to be inserted. I usually buy Harris or Solderweld brazing rods, but neither of those brands' clear plastic tubes fit into the Victor tote without a little massaging with a file or Dremel to widen the tube holes. Again, this isn't a major issue. The torch's adjustment knobs are also a little stiff. Perhaps I'm accustomed to a worn-out set that I can adjust with my thumb alone. This isn't necessarily a criticism, but these new ones require more force than my single thumb can provide. All- All in all, I believe this setup is comparable to any light duty portable brand name setup. Add your tanks and get ready to go.

Co-op kit is fantastic. Two of the employees were so taken with them that they went out and bought some for themselves. One of my coworkers had a problem with a regulator that came with the package, and I was sent a replacement.

One of the main reasons I purchased it was to replace my old Oxy- Acetylene is used to transport acetylene. The oxygen tank is too small on the side. I tried using my grinder to enlarge it, but it didn't work out. I was concerned that I would compromise the tote's durability. I'm really bummed that I'll have to use my 20-year-old carrier. It didn't say how to put it together in the instruction manual. What exactly is the purpose of this? It was entirely my fault.
