Questions & Answers
When I purchased it, I assumed it was "R" grade. The red hose is clearly printed with "Acetylene rubber hose" despite the lack of a statement on the label. There is no mention of any other gases.
The information states that you should contact the company, and the warranty section of the description includes information on how to do so.
This product should not be used to store propane. While the torch is in use, you can see evidence of it being eaten away by the propane. Acetylene is the only gas that exists. Propane should be graded at t.
Selected User Reviews For ABN Oxygen Acetylene Hose 1/4 Inch B Fittings Twin Welding Hose Oxy Acetylene Torch Hose Cutting Torch Hoses, 25 Foot
This hose has a nice look to it and is very flexible. Although it is reasonably priced, you get what you pay for. It has no abrasion resistance, and the bond that holds the two hoses together is ineffective; after a short period of use, the hoses separate, leaving you with a mess of spaghetti. It even lacks bands to keep the hoses together at the ends, which must be separated in order to install regulators and torches. This hose might be fine in a home shop for jewelry fabrication or other tasks that don't require a lot of force, but it won't hold up in a garage or in an industrial setting. I rarely give product reviews, but this one definitely deserves a low rating in terms of durability. I haven't even put it to use yet, and it has already failed as I predicted just by moving it around my garage. I'm perplexed as to how it has received such positive feedback. They are not to be trusted. Instead, do yourself a favor and buy a name-brand hose.
DURABILITY IS AWFUL, AND THERE IS NO SELLER CONTACT INFORMATION ON THIS WEBSITE. br>DUE TO THE FACT THAT HE DOESN'T WANT TO ANSWER FOR THE QUALITY. WHY DON'T YOU JUST PUT IT AS IS? br>AMAZON SHOULD REQUIRE ALL SELLERS TO INCLUDE CONTACT INFORMATION WITH THE PRODUCTS THEY ARE SELLING. br>AMAZON, PROTECT YOUR BUYERS, AND STOP ALLOWING SELLERS TO HIDE IN BACK OF YOU.
This is the second time I've received a replacement. br> I'm disappointed that the same flaw that caused me to return the first item is present in this replacement. That the red side hose of this replacement, which is connected to the Acetylene tank, has nicks. br>I didn't attach the hose to my tanks because I was afraid it would explode if it was used under pressure. br>I am not confident in a replacement. As a result, I'm returning it and asking for a refund on my credit card.
I got it, hooked it up, and put it through its paces. I thought I was ready to leave because everything seemed to be in order. br>br>On the first use after this, a hole blew in the acetylene line. I didn't get a single use out of the hoses, so it wasn't worth the time or money. br>br>I made a mistake when I purchased despite the negative reviews. Do not buy these low-quality hoses based on the negative reviews.
I went out and bought two hoses. Both began to separate at different points along the hose as a result of normal use. To keep the hoses from completely separating, I needed to use electric tape. a bad product.
The red hose has a leak in the middle.
So far, I haven't used it. I was going to buy the 50-foot hose set, but the description said it would be difficult to store due to the thickness of the produce. I'm a disabled vet with a paralyzed arm and mobility issues, so I try to move my torch set as little as possible, and I may return the 50' footer hose set.
