I'm looking for some advice on how to use the vintage Weller wp- Style 40 in pencil. Do you think these will work?

I'm not sure, but these seem to be a good bet (the set screw will help close a gap). Almost every Weller soldering iron/station appears to have the same shank diameter. I haven't used my soldering station in a long time, but the standard diameter appears to be 1/4" (0. 6mm x 25in - 35mm)

They aren't threaded in any way. Some of them have a hollow center at the base.

These, along with a Weller WLC-100, were purchased recently. There are 100 of them, and they're a fantastic addition. Because the Weller only comes with one general-purpose fatter chisel tip, and I'll need to do SMD soldering under magnification at some point, and the fine point tips will be ideal. The tips are easy to clean and tin well.

They're close to fitting my Weller

They fit into the end of my Weller, but the hold down screw protrudes slightly, causing the holder to hang up. The problem was solved by simply grinding a flat spot on the screw's tip. However, it would have been preferable if it had already been there.

Good soldering tips that work with both my Weller and generic soldering irons. It slips right in, but snugly enough to prevent wobbling. Some of the tips have a hole in the bottom, which I assume is for faster heating (possibly for other reasons, but I noticed they do). The original tip that came with my Weller station lasted four years, so I'll revisit this review in four years to see if the one from this pack that I use the most holds up!.

These soldering tips are of excellent quality. They are divided into six pieces, each of which has a unique shape. All of the tips have nicely finished edges and fit perfectly into my soldering iron. They are unquestionably constructed from high-quality materials. They get hotter than any of my other suggestions. In a matter of seconds, you'll be soldering in a smooth flow. The shapes of all the tips appeal to me. They are the ideal team to take on any task. Furthermore, cleaning these tips is a breeze. As if it were a small wipe on a damp sponge. They've been restored to their former glory.

Since I inherited my Grandfather's soldering iron, I've been using the same soldering tip, so it was time to replace it

This 6-footer piqued my interest, and I was looking forward to seeing it. I assumed that all soldering tips were the same, but after using these, I discovered that they don't make as much of a mess as my previous one did. I'm overjoyed at the prospect of working on a broken circuit board that has been lying around my house for months. It came from a vintage slot machine, and I couldn't fix it with the old tip because it kept soldering different points together. They are a waste of good worry because they not only work well with the iron, but the variety allows me to use different tips for different jobs and find one that works well for them. This was a fantastic purchase.
