There are tips on it that are specifically made for this soldering iron and the instructions stipulate they can't be used on any other models. It is not possible to swap them. The product was manufactured by Ogelsby & Associates It is owned and operated by Butler Limited. i believe the tips are T1 = 1/32, T2 = 3/32, T3 = 1/8, T4 = 3/16, T7 = hot knife, and I am not aware of any more than those 7 and I believe the only company that makes Since I have not seen them, I cannot say if anyone else manufactures The answer to your question should be provided by the following
Parts for this product are harder to find as the product is on the older side. These are on hand, but they are not free. It's great to have a soldering iron like this! Three of them have been in my life. Despite its size and price, this has good quality for the price. It has three They cost ten dollars to fourteen dollars each as replacements
A new Portasol P recently arrived A 1K Professional Kit that replaces the same item purchased more than 20 years ago under the Radio Shack brand. The two primary items are *identical* except for color. It was only because the gas fill valve on the Radio Shack unit finally failed that I decided to buy the Portasol brand. As a matter of fact, the product is highly recommended it is hard to find a better one!
Two batteries are provided with it. Among them were a 4 mm soldering tip, a small torch, a hot knife, and a hot air blower for shrinking.

There were many problems with the soldering iron, including the fact that the tips never got hot enough, the stock tip was difficult to use, and the cord kept knocking them over. I only The Hakka was on my mind, but this was also an option. My return of the Hakka and purchase of this is a good decision. It feels great to be wireless! As long as the tips are still hot, they can be swapped. In my experience, the tip of the tip works much better than the traditional pointy shape, and the iron seems to shed solder much easier than my radio shack iron did. Lighting ports can leak some heat, so you might want to be mindful when applying lighting to wires. However, I have found it useful for melting It can be adjusted to alter power and the iron temperature can be adjusted to a reasonable level for most uses. Heat shrink is pretty easy to blow out with this blower. I like the small, light design of the iron. It comes in a convenient case. It would be better if it had a metal case, but the iron does heat up and cool down very In particular, this torch caught my attention due to the large port for lighting as well as the catalyst that can be replaced. I usually light it using My first two problems are both rooted in his inexperience. You must pull back the shield of the blower to light it. As a result, if the tip is hot and you try to put it out, you might struggle to do so. The second thing I did was fill the tank with a high-quality butane, and it ran dirty at first, which caused me to fret that it would There does not appear to be a problem with all contaminants, but other contaminants may still be present. It may also be due to the fact that the full port did not make the best deal with the gas canister (either one could be to blame). If I had to buy it again, I would. Thanks for your response and good luck with it.
The tips in this kit are quite good quality and the kit comes with a good selection of them. Nevertheless, my observations are that the lighter mechanism seems rather cheap and may be a bit awkward to use when trying to ignite the gas flowing from the burner openings of various tips, but that doesn't really detract from the kit itself, though it is worth noting. In this case, it would be nice if the locking clips weren't so awkward that you had to use two hands just to open it. Creating a central point of contact An electronic lock would have been better for a smoother appeal and allowed for a more efficient appeal process. Besides, I am not a big fan of the organizer slots as they are loose and the iron slot itself appears to have been molded for a bigger iron and probably was, which makes me believe that this case wasn't redesigned for this product and it was just repatterned. A design from an earlier time period was used. In addition, the unit is very slick and heats up in just a couple of minutes, with about a 2 minute wait period before melted solder is visible. Although it is impossible to sustain the right temperature long enough to get good soldering, it is very difficult to get the right temperature at the right time. It takes a long time and is a messy process to get the solder to bond to this thing when it's hit with solder. All butane irons have this problem, and you can work around it by not loading the tip with solder before applying it to the item(s) to be soldered. It's not something you are supposed to do anyway, but it can be useful for The convenience of this butane iron is sure to bring you over as it's so versatile and easy to transport. Additionally, with its easily swappable tips, you'll be able to get very clean solder, making this a.
I own many of these products and I love I have lost or stolen a few or in fact, I've broken a few, and that's not easy either. It is becoming more and more difficult to find them. use the torch tip the most despite what you might think. I receive the kit every time. When I need precision, I use an electric iron. Still, I'd like to keep it in my tool kit. The laptop is always with me no matter where I go or what I'm doing. Without it, I cannot live happily. Take advantage of the opportunity while it lasts. When I had my money, I bought two last time. A friend of mine ended up getting one. He couldn't keep himself from mine. It is.
I find it to be high quality still. My negligence led to the death of the old one. In fact, the tank sat unfilled after a move without being used for more than 7 years. The gas delivery to the burner was somehow blocked. Although I was able to take it apart to the extent I could, I did not find out how to clean it properly.
There has been some improvement since the first burner catalyst. Here are some cheap soldering irons you can buy if you need a portable one, but don't buy one of them. Don't waste money on an appliance that won't last, but rather spend a few extra dollars and get one that will last for decades.
The iron is very nice. During the heating process, it gets quite hot. It is only a matter of keeping track of where the flame is so you don't melt other objects while soldering. With its easy-to-change attachments and fuel filling system, this gun is easy to use. It's been over 20 years since I received the original and I needed a copy for work. The service has been very.
For my game rooms, it's used to repair the floor of gaming consoles. A cable cutter is a necessity when you need to repair or replace a wire. Unlike my first one, this one is my second one. My first one lasted 20 years and is still functional, but the case has cracked with.
The Portasol, though, not only is it able to be used outside, it's a pleasure to work with too!.
For those who are involved in home repair or skilled in technical service, this is a must. It has been 20 years since I was first introduced to them. There is no substitute for them out on the field. Since I retired (last year) I gave away my old workhorse and switched to this model, which is ranked #1 in the market When I am working on hobbies, I often use it. There is no better solution when it comes to shrink tubing. Please do not use a match or lighter again to shrink a tube. See how easy and convenient it is to do your job with one of these. I like the way it looks professional.
