The result was precise. The construction was solid. The handle is perfect for a scalpel! My use of it is mainly DIY based because I do a lot of stuff like that. A great grip is provided by this product. This handle and a flat handle are both in my household but I keep both nearby when working. handle is best for straight cuts, and the round handle is best for cuts on uneven surfaces or for cuts where I have to change the angle of the blade frequently. For those of you interested in why I own two of these handles, I have a #10 blade on one and a #11 blade.
