It was incredibly sticky on the carpet. A wooden pole, I believe, would be a more appropriate surface. It should not be a problem for you.
Yes, I think it would work as a set of temporary lines. Even if the surface is bumpy, it seems to stick fairly well to it.
I don't think there's any reason why it shouldn't be done. It stuck like a champ to carpet and hasn't moved a millimeter in a year of constant walking.

I was considering returning this tape when I bought it. It's not duct tape; it's a roll of vinyl tape. Consider electrical tape as an example. It will not adhere to rough surfaces such as the sidewalk, carpet, or even painted concrete. It peels up quickly, usually within a few days if you can get it to stick at first, and it appears to be affected by heat and cold due to its vinyl nature. The backside of real duct tape is what it will stick to. That's exactly what I've been required to do. First, apply regular duct tape, then cover it with vinyl tape. I'm not sure if it'll hold up to the light. I haven't had enough experience with it to say.
br>A retractable screen door had been installed. When it's closed, people have a habit of walking into it. It wasn't enough to put up decals; So I went out and bought some "warning" tape to put on the door jambs. It serves as a reminder to check whether the screen is open or closed by stepping up and over the sill. Unless you prefer an industrial look, it's not a particularly appealing solution, but it gets the job done.
Purchase is not recommended. I was extremely dissatisfied with this product because my sidewalk has shifted and has become a trip hazard; I purchased it so that people would be aware of the drop-off and not be injured. br>WARNING: THIS TAPE IS A JOKE! It may work on smooth indoor concrete, but it is NOT SUITABLE FOR USE IN THE OUTDOOR. Don't waste your money by purchasing this. br>I'm in the middle of a move, and the tape was packed with other belongings, so I missed the return window. I'm now stuck with a roll of tape that I don't know what to do with. br>It's a real pain in the neck. br>WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND!.
This is an excellent safety tape. It sticks well to both wood and metal surfaces. The visibility is excellent, but not overly bright or saturated. I used it to keep everyone from slamming their heads against our shelves and heater in the ceiling. It also blends in nicely with the aesthetic of a natural industrial facility. It has about the same strength as good electrical tape but doesn't leave any residue.
Some people complained that it wasn't sticky enough. Personally, I believe it strikes the perfect balance between being sticky enough to stay and not being too sticky. It's too sticky to remove, and it's difficult to do so. I needed something to go down on a smooth hard floor but didn't want it to leave any residue or be difficult to get up when I was finished for the day; this is perfect; you just have to rub it in well when applying it, but it pulls right up and leaves no residue at the end of the day. If you need something super sticky, get duct tape, gorilla tape, or something else; this, in my opinion, is designed for temporary use and is exactly what I needed.
So, once our store is officially open, we purchased this to assist our customers in finding their way around. (We're still on the curb/coronavirus) We haven't used the tape yet, but this company has sent me two emails asking me to write a review. So, here's my take on it. Not quite what I had hoped for, given that we don't yet know how long it will last or how well it will hold up to heavy traffic. The adhesion and value, on the other hand, are appealing to us. so far.
This tape screams, "This is what I'm looking for!" I'm afraid to touch this tape because it's so effective! It has the blackest black and the yellowiest yellow I've ever seen on a cautionary tape. "Avoid me at all costs," it screams. If you're on a diet, you should keep this in the refrigerator.
It holds up well. Holds up. To maintain social distance in my classroom, I purchased this tape to create a "teacher zone. " In terms of material and feel, this tape is similar to electrical tape. It adheres well to carpet and even better to most other surfaces. It hasn't come up, ripped, or discolored after a month of being stepped on. If it means I won't get COVID, it's not a bad way to spend $10.
