The wheels hold it straight, but they are not very strong.
The one I used in a restaurant wasn't very effective. Since they were not as sturdy as I needed, I bought a set that was a little more sturdy.
On the top, there is a black plastic piece attached to a chrome part. Although they are not made of cheap plastic, they hold up well.

As part of my restaurant's waiter line barriers, I purchased these items for my customers to wait for their order more clearly. As soon as the retractable head units were installed, they started to loosen up. Approximately two months after the car arrived, one of the retractable belt latches snapped off, resulting in the belt being retracted into the head unit and the vehicle being rendered They don't look like they were going to last long for $50 a piece, even though they didn't look like they did. Before the opening, they are laid out, and at the close, they are taken down. It was a pretty disappointing experience. I would not recommend it.
We use this in a restaurant to block off parts of the seating during slow times. Units with a sleek design and easy movement and connection.
