At the lab where I used to work, we had one of these labelers. Now, I work as an electrical engineer, designing and installing robotic automation systems. I bring this with me whenever I go out into the field to commission a new system because I'm constantly discovering wires that need labels changed or added. There are better wire labeling systems that use PVC tubing to create labels, but they can't label anything else, and you'll need to carry a lot of different sizes of PVC tubing to accommodate different wire sizes. If I didn't have the right size, the wire got either no label (usually ethernet cables) or a hand-written label on masking tape that could fade over time, demonstrating how the ideal label can be the enemy of a good label. The true selling point is its adaptability. It's not just wires that can be labeled. I label my storage bins, toolbox drawers, electrical outlets, breakers, and tool cases with it around the house.
The only thing that could be improved is the texture on the outside.
It's a perfect fit for the handheld printer and holds everything you need, but I can see it getting worn out over time because it's not exactly heavy duty.
Good case.
This isn't an outlier. It's well-made and long-lasting. Yes, it's made of plastic, but isn't that the case with everything nowadays? The pockets on the inside are "form-fitting. " follows- function" is extremely beneficial. You can add three more cartridges to the case by removing the lower foam inserts from the cartridge pockets, bringing the total to six.
Extra cartridges, the labeler, the manual, and the power cord and adapter were all included in the box, as well as a foam cushion. I was a little concerned about the clasps that keep the cover in place. They appear to be "Sears Craftsman" clips, which I've seen break frequently on socket sets. If it breaks, I'll update this post with an estimate of how long it will last.
enhances the utility of my current tool.
