Hello Alice, you can use it on carpet as long as you take care of it. Only use it on carpet if you act quickly after a spill occurs; sprinkle it on the spill and allow it to absorb the liquid. Lightly brush the SpillFix onto a pan after a few minutes. Avoid rubbing the material into the carpet, especially if it is light-colored. The rest of the debris can be vacuumed up. Please let us know what types of spills you want to deal with on your carpet for more information, and we will give you more accurate advice.
The chloroform will not leach out once it has been absorbed, but you should check with your local landfill to see if it is acceptable for regular trash disposal.
Stephen SpillFix lacks the weight of cat litter and the larger particle sizes required to provide traction to Tires. Unfortunately, this product isn't suitable for that use.
I'd disinfect afterward because I was disappointed in how well it picked up pet messes compared to other products, and the absorbent itself takes a lot of effort to pick up all of it.

After witnessing SpillFix in action, I decided to purchase it for my home. I'm a teacher, and I've seen SpillFix in action at our school on two separate occasions. My first encounter was with SpillFix on a tray of milk that had been dropped and spilled all over the tile floor in the cafeteria, and my second encounter was with SpillFix on a vomit mess in the hallway, yuck! As a result, the product was simply sprinkled over both spill areas and absorbed the problem within seconds. It was then swept up and thrown away with a broom/dustpan. The large spills, which I expected to take a long time and effort to clean up, were cleaned up quickly and easily in both cases. When I asked our Head of Maintenance about the product, he said, "This SpillFix is amazing" and that it can be used anywhere with any liquid. SpillFix also removes all remaining residues that could cause slips, according to him. (There is no mop) There is no need for a bucket, which saves even more time. I knew right then and there that we needed this for our home. SpillFix has been used on a "big" laundry detergent spill (approximately 16oz) since I received my order. The uncapped bottle shattered and splattered all over the place after falling off the dryer. I applied SpillFix to the detergent right away, and when I returned with the broom, ALL of the liquid had been absorbed! It was a breeze to clean. up and running in a hurry One jar is kept under the kitchen sink, one is kept in the garage, and one is kept in the laundry room. I gave away the other three jars. SpillFix should be installed in every home and business. When spills do occur, keep a handkerchief on hand.
I wish I'd known about this a long time ago. This absorbs moisture like cat litter and forms clumps whenever there is a doggy "oops" or an unexpected vomit mess. Then I simply vacuum up whatever is left of the product.
I had an oil leak in my garage, and this product worked perfectly. Follow the instructions on the package. Product of high quality.
Doesn't seem to absorb as well as it should. I was dissatisfied because I had to use a lot of paper towels to absorb the liquid.
After the liquid has been absorbed, you simply sweep it up. Oil and other liquids are among the liquids that it can handle.
It's only marginally effective at soaking up spills; it IS a spill absorber, but it's a very slow one. This substance resembles shaved coconut husks but absorbs more slowly than sawdust. (It's also likely to be less expensive with the latter. ).
I intended to order this after seeing it on a morning television show. When my dog became ill, I remembered Spillfix after cleaning up vomit a few times. I placed an order for it, and it arrived the next day. It's truly amazing. This is great for cleaning up various viscous substances on my bamboo floors.
Not yet employed; At work, I've used it before, but not at home. It ought to function as expected.
