Each sock measures 48 inches in length. You are given 12 or a Dozen. The total length of all socks, end to end, is 48 feet. I hope this information is useful. They were used to collect the acid wash that I applied to my driveway. It was an excellent solution. br>From what I understand, you can wash them, hang them to dry, and reuse them. I hope this helps.
I use it to keep water from rising on rainy days, and it absorbs it; I'm not sure who thinks it doesn't, but they're wrong.
You can either hang them to dry or put them through the spin cycle of your washing machine.

These absorbent socks are something I've bought a few times. My previous orders of socks had been fantastic. They appeared and felt flimsy, but they were capable of absorbing and holding a large amount of water. I'd then spin them in the washing machine to remove the majority of the water, air dry them, and reuse them several times. However, after a few uses, they became stiffer and less absorbent (as I had expected), so I decided to re-use them. When I was down to my last few options, I decided to place an order. br>br>In my most recent order, I received a new batch that was quite different. When I first opened the box, I noticed that the socks were made of a new, more robust-looking and feeling sock material that was denser and more substantial than the previous ones. I assumed they had somehow improved on an already excellent product, but after the first use, I realized otherwise. Not in the least. They DO absorb a lot of water, though. br>br> These new socks, on the other hand, now allow the silicone material inside to leak out. There are two issues with this. 1) they're a pain to handle and leave some of the silicone material on the floor, and 2) I can't put them in the washer to spin out some of the bulk water and speed up the drying process. br>br>The difference between socks before and after water absorption (previous version on left, new version on right) can be seen in my photos. If I had written my review a month ago, I would have given these five stars. However, I'll have to reduce it in this new version. When trying to keep your basement dry during a day-long downpour, the last thing you want is for the job to become more difficult and costly.
My patio is now enclosed. The bad news is that when it rains, one corner of my patio leaks water because the condo next door's yard is slightly higher than mine. To stop the flow, I had to use a lot of towels, and I was worried about wet baseboards. Then I came across these "socks. " While the water accumulated in the socks must be removed after a long and hard rain, this is preferable to watching towels become saturated, replace with dry towels, carry wet towels in a bucket to the dry dryer, and repeat. Texas has a lot of rain.
We had record-breaking rain last spring, and the basement of my rental house had a lot of ground water coming in for the first time ever. I had no idea they made such a product. I discovered these to put around the perimeter of the basement after continuing to mop every day. They were successful in keeping the water from spreading. Remove the paint from the concrete floor and continue peeling it away. I was able to wring them out and lay them out on my deck to dry before re-using them. use them. It would also be ideal for encircling a sump crock in the event of a power outage. I would strongly suggest it!.
Due to the torrential rains in North Texas, it was necessary to soak up pooled rainwater near a French drain in order to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. The product only absorbed a small amount of water and did not aid in the containment of the water as expected. They've been drying for days on the fence, but they're still damp. I was hoping they could be repurposed, but it doesn't appear that they can. It appears to be unfriendly to the environment, as it is impossible to recycle it.
During heavy rains, we have water seeping into our basement. These socks did a fantastic job.
My bucket-carrying days have come to an end! It's been a strange week for us. Due to the recent unusual weather pattern, and the fact that I live near the Tennessee River, my basement began to fill with water from the flooded grounds! This is fantastic! Once one side is full, I flip them over. Simply allow them to remain. dry. The only thing to keep in mind is that gloves are required. When the silicone filler is wet, it sticks to itself. BUT THEY WORK EXTREMELY WELL! AMAZON, THANK YOU SO MUCH!.
Simply put, not at all. It can hold a lot of liquid. It's just not clear how to dry it so that it can be used again. I tried drying them on the line, but they are still heavy after a week.
I'm overjoyed and wish I'd discovered it earlier! These have saved my life on numerous occasions. I'm kicking myself for not stumbling across them sooner! My apartment complex has done nothing to address a persistent leak in my basement since I first signed the lease! I mean, I've been there since the beginning. They had been informed. They did nothing but play with the dirt outside the house in an attempt to divert the water away from the duplex. It did not work. As a result of this, I've misplaced a few items. There was no compensation for what I'd lost, but now there is. This small miracle will ensure that I never lose anything else in my life! It's also not a significant leak. It can flood the entire basement when it rains. Whatever path it takes, it will be successful. This product allows me to keep it in the corner where it began and ensures that it does not escape! I don't even have to rotate them if I use more than three at a time. I'm drying one on a stand I have near the drain, then returning it! Thank you so much for bringing me back to life. I'm grateful beyond words!.
