A hot wood ember may melt these materials, but I am not sure. As my uncle lives in an assisted living facility, we had to buy this kind of trash can. Although burning paper didn't melt it, I do know that the material is not melted.
15 x 11 x 11.5 inches are the dimensions of the product. Two 20-inch by two-inch pieces

Selected User Reviews For Iliving ILG807 Commercial Fiberglass Fire-Resistant Trash Can, 7 Quart or 1.75 gal, Beige
For those who need the volume, this 7 gal volume would be great. Has a pretty heavy weight, however it is incredibly stable - Neither our cats nor our dogs can knock it over! The product appears to be durable and may last for many years!.
This sink fits under the sink exactly like my wife had envisioned and it is very durable.
An 8 quart version of this trash can would be a lot larger. You could easily use it in a bathroom or bedroom where there would not be a lot of trash to accumulate. I am not sure how they could distinguish what color trash can was actually in the box, since the box indicated it was available in three various colors (beige, gray, and black), but none of those were checked on the My only reason for saying this is because if the can I received actually is the gray can, not the beige one, it might have been a mistake. Amazon does not appear to carry the other two colors of this trash can, so if you decide to order one, you might get a grayer version than a beige one. As shown in the picture, the style is as follows They are very plain and simple, so they will not clash with many decor styles. One of the things that makes this trash can a valuable addition is its fire resistance. You could use this ash tray emptying tip if you have an ash trough in the house. One possible alternate use for it would be to fill it with sand or potting soil and set it outside on the patio or deck and use it for smoking waste It is quite expensive for a trash can (even though it is fireproof) which makes it unworthy of the highest rating. I was originally going to give it five stars, but the color issue and the price just don't make it worthy. I think it's a good item, and given how much it's costing right now, it makes the most sense to purchase this trash can only if you will actually need its fire-safety features.
The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that it would be difficult to love this trash can. The fiberglass-based material feels a little strange on your fingers, almost as if it's covered with a strange dust coating. The color is also important. I hate it. The trash container in your guest bathroom is not the one you want there. I definitely see why they would make it so ugly considering this wastebasket is for industrial use. I guess they want a trash container that will not burn and cannot be easily damaged, but I'm wondering why they made it so It can't just be functional, but it's got to look good too, can't it? Finally, I would like to point out the following My expectations were quite a bit higher than this wastebasket turned out to be. Despite what the measurements seem to indicate, I do not believe they That's what I think they're saying. Taking a look at the image, you may think that this is going to store a lot of trash, but it actually holds a bit less than you would think.
Good for what it does.
Waste basket with a nice appearance. Quite a lot of weight on this thing! Rubbermaid or other plastic wastebaskets can be hard to adapt to this one if you're accustomed to them. Despite being solid, heavy, and feeling like ceramic, it is surprisingly light. The object is made of fiberglass, but the material is thick. It is without a doubt my belief that a thing like this will not Waste receptacles like this are likely to be around long after human civilization has disappeared. In my mind, it isn't attractive, but that doesn't necessarily mean it is ugly. You can't go wrong with this plain, neutral font- As opposed to the photographs, it's a pale grey color (rather than the dull vanilla look on them). Although it won't spruce up your home at all, it will act as a sturdy, sturdy wastebasket for sure. In fact, I suggest that it might make a great place to keep oily rags or worn out nails in the No leaks or punctures can be expected from it. Essentially, it's just an ordinary trash bin whose construction is designed to hold up to abuse while remaining uninteresting to look at. It looks like what you'd find in a hospital or something similar- It is better-than The environment at the office is stylish. I would rate the quality as four stars.
Here are the results for the 1st. A version with a capacity of 75 gallons. Small is the size of this thing. Several of my other small trashcans that I keep around the house are bigger than this one. Depending on your situation, this can be either a good or a bad thing. A metal cabinet, for instance, can be easily tucked under the counter because it can fit into tight spaces. Then again, if this is a trashcan that you intend to use regularly, perhaps you should get one that is a bit larger. My opinion is that the color is a bit greyer than beige. The color is a mix of the two. There is a little bit of weight on it, so the trashcan isn't There are no fireproof materials, in my opinion. It would however be a good trashcan to have near a heat source, if you were going to put inflammable objects in it. You could also put this trashcan in the kitchen if you wanted to reduce fire danger. It is better to store it under the counter, since it is not covered.
It's so sturdy. On the basis of the photo, I was expecting a standard-issue office garbage can made of either beige rubber or plastic. (Plus! This is more of a gray color. gives it a very rigid, almost metallic quality. In fact, I was very impressed with what I saw. Some reviewers argue that the appearance is a bit unattractive and that this is not something you would want to have in your home. This is a simple design that I and my wife both like and could use in either an office or a bathroom as long as you don't use garbage bags. The fiberglass is easy to clean, so you don't necessarily need to use garbage bags. Rather than the 10qt size, we go for the 7qt, which is a pretty small size for a bathroom but probably typical. Although it's adequate for our home office, it still isn't ideal. The author does a good job with this one and recommends.
