I have a woodshop in my basement and needed something to keep sawdust from tracking throughout the house, as most other reviewers have stated. These mats are very effective. br>br>However, the packaging was dreadful. The mats were simply thrown into a large box with nothing to keep them from bunching- catching a ride They were wrinkly and creased when they arrived. I had to flatten them out by pressing them as flat as I could and placing a folded card table on top of them overnight. After that, they're ready to use. However, once they've clumped together, they'll never be smooth and flat again. br>br>They should be sandwiched between two pieces of cardboard and taped together to ensure that they arrive flat.

Purchase these at your own risk. I thought I was ordering the entire mat when I placed my order. It's just a refil pack, not a full game. There's no plexiglass beneath it to keep it from falling out. But the real issue was that the adhesive on these came off on my hands and, more importantly, on my shoes. If you don't want sticky adhesive all over your place, don't use these. Now I understand why the good ones cost upwards of $40. What you pay for is exactly what you get. We needed it for putting in a new poured urethane running track, and if I had used it, I would have completely ruined a $20,000 track because the adhesive footprints would attract dirt, requiring me to clean them with a chemical solvent. And that'd be a disaster for the finish. I would have gone bankrupt if I had used this method! It's all about living and learning.

Even though we remove our shoes at the entrance, I can't believe how much debris this item traps. It'll only stick to the ground if you use a good double-sided adhesive tape. To avoid a sticky paw, our cat leaps over it. When peeling a layer, you must be careful because the debris can become loose and cause a mess. This item comes in handy when working on a construction site.

I bought these as a replacement for the 3M clear product, and I use them at the garage door to prevent dirt, leaves, and other debris from being tracked into the house. They only appear to be a little clingy. The shape (too long and narrow) isn't ideal for a front-of-the-door placement. Furthermore, they lose their "stick" much more quickly than the 3m product we previously purchased, and the blue color is not as subtle as the previous stick mats we had. I don't know if I'd buy it again.

I'm sure it'd work fine if it arrived flat, as shown - Even if it were folded in half, it might work well. My copy, on the other hand, arrived crumpled into a ball and stuffed into a box. I haven't been able to get it to lay flat because I can't get it to straighten out.

The product itself is satisfactory, but the packaging is disappointing. It was shipped in a box that was too big for the product, slid around during shipping, and was wrinkled on a couple of edges, making it difficult to lay flat. The product should have been wrapped around the box more tightly.
