Is this a hemp/polyester blend or an all-natural hemp rope?

Our hemp rope is made entirely of hemp, with no polyester added.

On both sides, there are hooks?

Both sides have hooks. This product appeals to me greatly!

Is there a way to make this rope a little shorter? It appears to be secured in place by a screw. Is there anything else going on that I should be aware of?

Yes, by removing the hook and trimming with a sharp scissors, this rope can be trimmed. Because the rope is made of natural hemp, it will need to be re-tied. After you've cut both ends, tape them together with duct tape. The hemp rope will fall off the hook if this isn't done.
