Questions & Answers

Is there anything included in the bag?

If you want a real trauma kit, don't buy one of these "trauma bags." I've never seen a good one. They're fine for the first aid kit in the little league, but that's about it. You'll have to build your own if you want something for car accidents, wilderness accidents, workplace violence, church, school violence, and so on (shooting, bomb, etc.). ABD pads, roller gauze (4 or 6 in), CAT (combat application tourniquet), 4x4in gauze, a hemostatic (either in powder form like celox or pretreated gauze like quikclot) (powder is more versatile but can't be applied in windy situations), a flashlight, and something to write with like a sharpie are all good places to start. If weight and space aren't an issue, flush wounds with sterile saline and cool burns and splints with sterile saline. Add a face mask or bvm, stethoscope, and bp cuff if you know how to monitor vitals and perform CPR. I like to include a few mylar blankets in the mix. Training is just as crucial as having the right equipment. I strongly advise you to take an AHA CPR course as well as a Stop The Bleed course from stopthebleed.com. org. If you don't have a lot of time or are unable to attend classes, watch the AHA hands-only CPR video and a few videos on AED use. Stop the Bleed's resources section, I believe, contains all of their training materials for free.

Will this bag hold up well in the trunk of a car in the summer heat?

Yes, I live in Arizona, and the heat kills this kit in lower temperatures.

The size of the Energency Trauma Bag appears to have two answers. Which is the correct answer?

The bag's dimensions should be 21x17x9. It's a fantastic bag that's well-equipped with everything you'll need. Its soft sides provide flexibility and make it simple to transport if necessary.

Is there no latex in the bandages?

They are, indeed.

I'm lucky in that I have other things to make up for it
3/5

This received a two-star rating from me. stars because it's essentially a cheap bag that's good for throwing in the car and hoping you don't get more than a few cuts or scrapes. It consists primarily of bandages, tweezers for removing splinters, and some eye-care products. It is not intended for the purpose it claims to be for, and this is extremely misleading! I'm lucky in that I have other items to put together a disaster bag in case of hurricanes, typhoons, or earthquakes. br>br>After removing everything from the bag, I'll reassemble it into a disaster-preparedness kit. br>br>Suggest selling this item as it truly should be for future sales. a 'First-Aid Kit for Beginners'.

Should not be referred to as a first-aid kit or a trauma bag for first responders
3/5

I should've read the feedback from previous customers. I believe the bag photo (Amazon photo?) is correct. ) It was probably stuffed with tissue paper to give it a fuller appearance. The bag was around $10 in value. 00 and is made of a light, airy material. There were insufficient dividers in the bag to allow quick access to items. For bloodborne pathogens, I did not receive a cpr mask. I would not use this on a stranger. A set of bandages in plastic bags was included. Overall, I was extremely dissatisfied. Being referred to as a first responder with a first-aid kit is deceiving. There is no zipper on the top, allowing items to fall out. VERY dissatisfied, especially considering the price, and the bag strap was torn as well. I've spent my entire career in the medical field, and this is not a traumabag in the least.

Excellent value for money
5/5

For my church, I purchased two kits. For the past 30 years, I've worked in EMS as a Rescue Captain and Crew Chief for a paid ambulance service, as well as purchasing equipment for three fire departments. The contents are well-thought-out, and the packaging is excellent, making this kit ideal for an organization that may need advanced first aid. Someone who has "been there, done that" must have set it up. "Congratulations, and thank you for making it so affordable!".

For occasional use, this is a great bag
4/5

This is a fantastic bag to have on hand for special occasions. This one isn't too bad if you're a first responder looking for a quick grab bag for your POV. The carry handle and shoulder strap are both very light, and you wouldn't want to rely on them for anything more than a quick grab-and-go. to cover a short distance If you're looking for a bag for your home or small business, this is the bag for you. It's an excellent first aid bag for the home or small business, but first responders will need to add quite a bit to make it a basic medical bag. The flimsy carry handle, shoulder strap, and lack of real adjustment ability on the cover's straps and clips are the only reasons for the 4 star rating rather than the 5. It wasn't enough for me to return it; I also have to keep in mind how flimsy they are when I grab this bag during an incident.

I'm happy with this kit every time I buy it
5/5

The company that puts these together does an excellent job of including everything you'll need to deal with minor first-aid emergencies, and the bags have actually improved in design each time I've purchased them. I have one of these packs with me at all times: At work, in my vehicles, and at home I personally upgrade all of mine to include some additional BLS aid materials (which goes beyond first aid and into EMR stuff), and the bag is expandable enough to accommodate this easily, which is fantastic. The BLS style CPR mask with O2 inlet is good for saving lives in a professional setting, and it has the materials needed to support most first aid incidents at work. br>br>They're inexpensive enough that you can simply order a new one when your first-aid supplies run out rather than having to worry about restocking individual items. The stethoscope is essentially a toy (can't blame the company; a good scope would double the price of this unit), so if you're taking serious blood pressure readings, get yourself a Littman. However, I can confirm that you can still take viable blood pressure readings with the set included in this kit (though any serious ALS/BLS provider might laugh at you when they leave). Overall, if you're looking for a good generic first aid kit with a wide range of medical equipment and aid supplies, this is a good choice. If you need more "disposable" items (drugs, wipes, jels, etc. ), look for a different product because this pack prioritizes durable equipment over holding more than a handful of disposable supplies.

Not a trauma bag, but more of a first-aid kit
3/5

The name may be deceiving, as this is more of a high-end first-aid kit. It's sufficient to hold off until emt/fire arrives if you know what you're doing. Thankfully, I have items and will be supplementing this kit. In the event of an emergency, there are no deciders, so dig or dump. If you do not have access to specialty medical supplies, I would recommend purchasing a more expensive kit that is geared toward battlefield injuries and the like. Overall, building your own first aid kit is less expensive (but not by much). I have this in my hurricane kit, but I wouldn't rely solely on it in a disaster situation where medical help may be delayed or unavailable.

This is something that everyone should have! Although it is slightly smaller than a trauma kit carried by emergency medical personnel, it contains everything you need for most emergency situations (except an AED built in)

This is a fun bag for the whole family to use
5/5

If you require this bag, please keep in mind that it is only for a few patients. It's not designed for large groups of people, such as six or more. Yes, the tools are useful, but they are not appropriate for a major undertaking. This bag, in my opinion, will be used for camping, hiking, minor accidents, slip and falls, and other similar activities. If you have a shooting or major knife injury, expect to destroy this bag and possibly drop a few items. br>br>Prosbr>Just enough supplies for minor incidentsbr>very visible to find your bag or do some embroidery to identifybr>carry with you and not too heavy and doesn't take up much roombr>br>Consbr>Not enough suppliesbr>security of the bag is a little weak but can use some strengtheningbr>pocket sizes are fa.
