A digital caliper was used to measure the inside diameter, which was 13mm. I've tried a lot of different carabiners and have found that the Camp steel oval or something similar works best. "D" or other offset styles cause binding in the device, so go with steel. The connection moves around a lot, and an aluminum carabiner will wear out quickly.
Static rope and semi static rope are all marketing terms for rope with extremely low stretch (1% to 10% at 300 lbs. ) and are rated or certified to have a high breaking strength (20-pound breaking strength). 4500lbs / 40kN / 40kN / 40kN / 40 9000lbs). The dynamic rope is a rock climbing rope with a stretch of 35%. Consider dynamic rope to be a rubber band; due to its high stretch, it is difficult to haul loads or climb the rope. On a static rope, the Goblin catches you and reduces the force of your fall.

It's not intended to be a good device; rather, it's intended to be a backup.
