Made in China exclusively for the United States of America. Nonetheless, for the price, this is a very nice product.
I'm not sure, but it appears to be extremely light. This is a very useful product.
It's just the way it's packaged that makes the difference. Because it contains aluminum, it can be stored flat or rolled depending on your needs.

As a former EMT, I was looking into SAM splints and thought they'd be useful for backcountry camping in sticky situations. This pack is nearly identical to the name brand for a fraction of the cost, and it performs just as well.
I'm a registered nurse who works in a hospital setting. I had to put this splint on my own son today after he fell and broke his arm. The fracture was a clean break, and the bone had not shifted in any way, according to the ER doctor. He would have needed surgery if the bone had shifted due to the location of the fracture. I believe that putting the splint on right away may have saved him from having to undergo surgery. Regardless, it assisted in the reduction of his pain, and I would highly recommend it because it was so simple to use. Make sure you have some ace bandages on hand because you'll need them to secure the splint.
I needed a few formable splints for our home's first-aid kit. When we were hit by an ice storm in Central Texas in February, I realized I didn't have enough first aid supplies on hand; if I can't drive, how are the First Responders going to drive? If you have the basics, you can take care of yourself and hold out a little longer in a crisis. These are simple to use and will keep you going until help arrives or you can get to a hospital. I opened one and liked it; I was using it to teach my children how to splint a fracture. They're a little thinner than the ones I used in the army, but they do the job just as well.
I work in law enforcement, and like many of my colleagues, I have a unique perspective. Furthermore, we do not have the budget of the Department of Defense or the agency for which we work on a personal level at home. As a result, we try to save money by purchasing less expensive equipment. That, I'm sure, is why you're interested in this item. I chose to include this in my vehicle survival/safety bags because it can help me get out of sticky situations in the short term or assist others on your daily commute to work. I made a small IFAK and vacuum-sealed the product; I haven't used it yet, but it should be fine—it's an aluminum splint after all. I have faith in it, and I hope I never need to use it. This is one of the items where I believe it is acceptable to save a little money. Tourniquets, on the other hand, should be sent to North American Rescue.
This is a fantastic addition to any first-aid kit's versatility. Backwoods neck brace is great for splinting and protecting a wound. I've bought a few different, more expensive versions. This is on par with, if not better than, their previous efforts.
It's a good product that's also affordable. Rolls that were larger than anticipated! You'll need to unroll them and fold them into a smaller rectangular package if you're putting them in your IFAK or first-aid kit. They're well-made, and while I haven't had the opportunity to use them yet, I would recommend them as a useful addition to your kit.
I'd rate this product as good, not great, but adequate. The foam isn't the best I've seen, but it only has to withstand one use in an emergency. That should be no problem, in my opinion. In terms of size, this 24 inch roll is much easier to fit into a kit than the traditional 36 inch roll; I was able to stock several of our first aid kits with this three pack and consider our purchase to be a good value for the money.
I . My 4-year-old's soccer team is coached by me. I purchased this as a splint to keep in my first-aid kit while coaching and for general preparedness. I've worked as an EMT in the past and have used SAM splints. This splint appears to be capable of performing the same function for a much lower price.
