UltraTrainer is good quality but there's a small design error that keeps it from being perfect
4/5

I like it. A great value for the price. It has been a pleasure teaching this class set to a few thousand students. I think they've all done a great job helping each other. There is no doubt the unit feels solid and is much better made than the Red Cross AED Trainer. Preattached universal pads are what I like about this company. Specifically, the placement of the sensor on the pads is the source of the design error, they put it in the dead center of To evaluate the Prestan adult, child, and infant professional manikins, I provide feedback to the client. Sensors are placed over the dip on the back of the infant manikin where there is a dip in the spinal column. It is hard for contact sensors to work well when placed over the dip on the baby's back, which is where the back pad should go. There are some students who It seems that about a third of my students find that difficult. With a sensor on either side of the pads, or perhaps two sensors, you would get better contact with the baby and the pad would work better. It is a competent AED trainer in its present form. I would prefer if they modified the pads to make the pads work better/easier with the baby manikins.

Instructors should be able to count on their reliability
3/5

Since I began teaching CPR fifteen years ago, I have gained a lot of experience. I am looking for the last AED trainer I will ever buy. This is my fourth effort. That's funny. Although the jury has not yet been sworn in, I am Since buying twelve new ones over the last few months, I have replaced my old ones Former trainers (their names rhyme with Ted Kross and they were terrible).

Here's what I have to say There is less storage space required due to the compact size. It has a sticky side, not adhesive, which is a distinctive design This is more like the crazy It's a wall Material from the 80s by the Walkers. Self-indulgence is no longer an option Like my old ones, these pads destroy themselves after a while. It's great to have them around. I like the pressure sensor idea, but you really need to press it firmly into contact with the manikin or they won't register the placement on the manikin. A pad backing is a plastic tray that keeps the pad in good shape until the next time it's used. It's easy to select from the programmable options and add a personal touch to choosing the method of instruction you prefer. The fact that it produces a "whoomph" sound to simulate an actual shock isn't exactly something to shout about, but it is kind of neat that the device makes the sound in response to the There is a C- in it A battery. Are you serious? In fact, I had a student ask rhetorically, "(W)hat is this? 1990?" This is a popular acronym among users Are they charged? The thought of that made me laugh. The problem with C batteries is that they don't work. There is a steep price to pay for them. I give this only a three, but I think it deserves more Would you mind giving me an honest review? We had to return one out of twelve since it does not work. It was easy to do that with Amazon. Furthermore, batteries are a part of the product description. That was not the case. This does not apply to the four pack or individual pack. About $50 worth of batteries were purchased. This was taken care of by Amazon as well I asked about batteries for an hour, but I got them for free. I will wait a year to update this review and add a star if it qualifies. I am very pleased with the outcome, and am hoping they will last. And, they are a million times more effective than the Ted Kross ones I ended up throwing out.

You should be aware of missing pieces when training with a great trainer
3/5

My wife and I were out of town when the delivery arrived on Friday. I got home and opened the box for the first time this evening. I was unable to turn it on strangely. Upon reviewing the instructions, I noted that it called for three C batteries It was installed". As soon as I opened the battery cover, I turned the unit over. The device does not require So I'm on my way to the store for the batteries that are supposed to be included with this unit. In reviewing the test of the unit, I noticed that the "protective feet" are also missing, and that the "for training only" sticker has been applied to the unit. At the very least, I seem to have received an "open box" model, at the very worst, I have received a second-hand model I can't believe this is a second hand model at the full price.

Disappointed to say the least.

The price is very good This is a wonderful portable unit
5/5

I teach CPR, first aid, and AED in multiple locations, so this unit is ideal for traveling as well. It is important to read the directions because the pads must stick to a solid surface before they can advance. In the pads, there are two electronic readers that need to be able to recognize that the pads are attached to a solid surface in order to advance (so you need to lightly press these to enable the device to work). With this training device, the metronome counting and prompting allows you to maintain the pace of CPR while you are doing it. The number of units I'm purchasing will increase.

The weight of AED for BLS classes is light
4/5

It is ideal for CPR classes to use the Prestan Ultra trainer. Operates with 2 C batteries that are supplied with the device, making it easy to carry. The only time I've used it so far is to check out the options for applying an AED to an adult and infant, I haven't yet used it in a class. The product was chosen because it is made by Prestan, which I have also used for manikins and have been satisfied with the quality. An ultra trainer I would recommend would be this one.

However, this is an extremely good product
4/5

Despite my concerns about the pads on this AED trainer, I am glad I purchased it. Since I teach CPR classes daily and need to use this every time I use the trainer, I ordered extra pads. When the first pad was applied, there was no reaction, the dummy kept asking for it to be applied. It was good to use the second method. I installed the pad for 15 times and after that, it begins to lose in the corners. The info says that they can be applied 100 times, but right after that, it starts losing. As of now, I apply the pads only once while showing the CPR and keep them on the dummy while the students practice it.

A very good product but the package should include batteries for the price
4/5

These units are easy to use, have a modern finish, and are certainly a pleasure to use. I can't believe it costs $100 and doesn't come with batteries. For that price, shouldn't they include batteries, too? You can go cheap there, but it's a pretty awful place.

Not at all

Worked correctly for six months, but then stopped working. It might be because the wires are not registering that the manikin is near them.
