Why does it say "Item Depth 15-" in your description? "2" and "inches" "Zero pounds" for a hollow plastic wheel that measures 3 3/4" in diameter?

Well, I'm guessing they didn't want to make a low-cost product, so they used thick plastic on a 15-inch wheel.

Will this fit the outside wheel of a John Deere 997 with a 72" deck?

I have no idea. It's a 757 that I'm flying.

It's the deck wheel from a lawnmower. It appears to be a softer plastic than the John Deere of the past. It was a perfect fit for my 445.
