This is something I recently purchased from Amazon. The hook is nearly 2" long, but only just. The opening width is almost one inch wide once more. It is hung from a one-inch screw. 1/4". 1 is a drywall anchor. 1/2". According to the packaging, drywall can support up to 20 pounds and wood can support up to 100 pounds. Swivels in all directions.
From the ceiling, 2" (5cm) long and 13/8" (3cm) wide The hook itself is 5cm in width at its widest point.
It isn't made of lead in any way. It's not clear what metal it is.
We used a set of them to suspend a large metal pot rack from the ceiling of our kitchen. Make sure they're secured to the ceiling joists rather than the drywall.

You must complete the task correctly the first time!! As a result of some suggestions, a hole smaller than the enclosed plastic anchor must be predrilled. Two types of phillips screwdrivers are needed for this installation. After the hole has been drilled, insert the plastic expanding anchor with your hand. To fully screw in the anchor, use a LARGE head phillips screwdriver until it is flush with the ceiling. I started with a small head and eventually had to remove it. Fortunately, I had leftover hardware from other kits and had five anchors that were nearly indenticle! The second time around, it worked. To keep the metal bolt from falling out, hand-screw it into the plastic anchor, then use a small phillips head to screw it in flush to the anchor. The final step is to open the hook base, insert the metal screw into the slot, and close the hook. Once installed, there is no way to tighten the hook, so it rides a little looser than I prefer, but I can live with that. I also had to restart the entire installation because I didn't like the first location I picked, so keep that in mind before you start drilling and save a small sparkle job for the end! I hope you found the review and installation instructions useful.
This is a nice little item, but the screw isn't long enough for practical applications that call for a 10-inch screw. A 20-pound weight is suspended from the ceiling. This screw will not go through plaster or drywall and then into a stud for an inch or more. The screw is just over an inch in length. A longer screw should be included. Because of the way the hook clamps onto the screw head, an off-the-shelf longer screw will not work. The flat underside of the included screw head resembles that of a nail. The hook will not clamp if you use a regular screw. I'd even say it's a waste of money because with a little more thought and a few pennies more, it could be a five-star product.
These were used as plant hangers. Once installed, these are fantastic, but they were not easy to put together for me. I struggled to get the anchor in because I was working in drywall. br>br>I tried screwing it in with a phillips tip at first, but it simply stripped the inside of the anchor. Because the edges of the anchor are fairly sharp, grabbing and twisting it doesn't work either. br>br>My solution was to start by drilling a small hole in the ceiling and then use a non-conductive material to fill it. To grip the anchor, use a rubber pad and twist it in as much as possible. I then finished screwing it in with pliers before drilling in the screw.
These do a fantastic job of holding everything together! These ceiling hooks come highly recommended from me!
- br>Thus far, everything has gone well! We hung our pot rack from the ceiling with a couple of these. Chef-approved pots and pans are available. stainless steel of high quality (please note: This is holding up quite well, despite the fact that it is quite heavy. I was worried before I put them all on, but we've been using it for a few months now with no problems. It's highly suggested!.
We planned to hang it from a beam at first, but the beams didn't line up with the bowl's intended location. We decided to hide it behind drywall instead. We inserted the drywall anchor after drilling a pilot hole with a screwdriver. When the anchor broke near the wall, it left a hole in my ceiling and a piece of plastic stuck in it. I was extremely disappointed.
This worked well for me when I needed to hang a chandelier. However - When it comes to mounting this to a ceiling, the provided screw is far too short to be comfortable when going through standard dry-mounting procedures. I bought a longer screw (3") at the hardware store and used a Dremel tool to shape the screw head to replace the one that came with the wall; it bites less than 1/2 inch into the ceiling joist. For the producer – The supplied screw is insufficient for dry-mounting to a wall or ceiling. wall (commonly 1/2 or 5/8 inch thick). It should be a minimum of 1" longer. That's why I only gave it four out of five stars.
I searched high and low for a nice swag hook to hang from the concrete ceiling of my first-floor condo. I drilled a hole for a lead shield that was the right size for the included "special" screw, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. Before securing the shield with the screw, I applied epoxy to the outside of the shield and let it cure for 24 hours; the hook can then be installed, and it rotates on the special screw, so there's no need to worry about the angle being fixed. Not only does it look nice, but it can also be used to hang an elephant. The fasteners you'll need are included with the hook if you have a more standard ceiling material. This is an excellent product.
We purchased two of these, and they are ideal for our requirements. We already had an IKEA pendant lamp, but we wanted to "swag" it so that it could be moved when we moved our table and extended its length for dinner parties. "Hangman Products BCD-" were purchased in addition. We used 10 Deouble Headed Bear Claw Hanger (10 Pack)" screws to create four ceiling anchor points with two screws each. We don't need a ladder to reach up and unclip a hook and clip it onto another anchor because our ceiling is low enough. The clip is extremely safe to use. To unclip and move it, you'll have to fiddle around with it a little, but that's fine because we want it to be solid! This purchase has made us very happy.
