These shouldn't come into contact with any food that hasn't been covered.
I wouldn't overload them with more than 5 pounds of weight. They're made of a softer plastic that bends when you put pressure on them. They were perfect for my son's need for guns!
These hooks are made to fit a peg hole with a diameter of. 25" in diameter with a 1" hole in the middle.

Metal hooks were first purchased at a hardware store. We decided that the metal hooks in the peg board were too long for this purpose after completing a nerf gun wall. br>We bought these plastic hooks on Amazon and they looked great once they were installed. The first, on the other hand, was broken in a matter of days. They're being used to hang nerf guns, and a child uses the wall on a regular basis. I didn't think they'd fall apart so quickly. br>We're going to keep using them. I bought a few extras just in case.
These hooks are fantastic. They serve a unique purpose for me, and I use them in conjunction with j hooks. I used to have a more expensive type that were specifically made for the metal pegboards I have, but these are so much easier to inset and remove that it makes it much easier to rearrange the board layouts. These appear to be well-made and have performed admirably in my application. They were also reasonably priced.
