quarter of an inch
While the description does not specify a weight limit, I believe you can safely hang a 50-pound object from it, taking into account the angle of the hook's pull and the depth of the screw. I've used them to hang canvas on my patio and they've held up well even with the weight of water after a rainstorm.
1 1/8" thick on the inside
I used these screws to hang 10 pound fixtures from the ceiling, Riley. I screwed them into the studs and they worked fine, but I wouldn't use them in drywall with any heavy fixtures. If you don't have a stud finder, one can be purchased for around $10 at Home Depot and is well worth having. Drill in about a half-inch with a power drill bit that is slightly smaller than the screw size (the tip), then hand turn the screw in until it is secure. You've completed the task, and those fixtures will not be removed. I hope this has been of assistance.

What am I supposed to say? They're made of metal. They're hooks, after all. Metal hooks, to be exact. They are exactly as described, strong, and do an excellent job. Perfect for storing items on my garage's hanging rods.
I bought these to use in my barn to hang extension cords.
I received a package of ten, and they were thick and strong as I had expected. To save space, use it to hang hoses, cords, and other items. The only reason for the lower rating is that two of them were bent at the stem, rendering them useless unless they were straightened in a vice. They haven't decided whether or not to replace them yet.
The product was satisfactory, but the shaft was too short.
Ideal for a shed in the backyard.
This is excellent. It's well-made and durable.
These are a great deal and work really well. There are no issues at all.
