I've only had these for about a month, and while the strap material is great and I like the sleeve it comes with for the slack, the actual hard ware, in my opinion, is subpar, as you can see in the photo. I simply ran it over with a Polaris Ranger as I was removing it from the trailer, completely destroying the hook end. This does not appear to have been done by a 2k lb ranger.
Because the hooks are 90 degrees away from the belt, it's difficult to get it through a trailer side bracket. The traps are well-made, but they aren't properly attached to the trailer. Before you buy, take a close look at the hooks to make sure they're what you need.
The straps are fantastic. For me, the best feature is the spring-loaded latch on the hook, which ensures that if your straps become loose, they will not fall off whatever they are hooked into.
These do a great job of keeping my Jeep on the trailer. The first time I used them, they were a little stretched, but they've held up well since then.
These were fantastic, but they could have been a little longer. It was a lot of fun hauling an RTV around Virginia and then from Virginia to Tennessee.
These straps have been in my possession for over a year. My 6000-pound rock crawler has now been towed for nearly 2000 miles. I was blown away. They had an initial stretch where they came loose the first time they were used, but they have kept my load secure since then. I was blown away by how good it was, and how inexpensive it was.
We use these to secure motorcycles, four-wheelers, golf carts, and, on rare occasions, the car.
I use them to haul my tractor because they are well-made and sturdy.
