I bought a pair of these to replace the worn pulleys on a Sears Craftsman table saw circa 1975. On the plus side, these pulleys are extremely sturdy and are extremely heavy duty. No doubt those will remain in good shape for the rest of the saw's operational life. These solids and powders are solid and powdered Having a coating. down side, they're very precise and if you're using an older system, you'll have to work on them a bit to make sure they I'll tell you. Please find some notes I have for you that may be helpful. 1 .
It was a bit of a pain to take the old pulleys apart with a blowtorch, penetrating oil, and a lot of cursing. Because there was so little room to work in, it took a long time to remove the interior pulley. I am left-handed (Being left-handed The fact that you were on your own was an advantage. It wasn't quite rusted into place, but it was It took an amazing amount of oil and hammer to create the interior key piece. The screws must be removed with a screwdriver. .
. In the event that the shafts are corroded, you WILL need to polish There is a thin coat of rust between these pulleys, and a thin coat will make a big difference as to whether they fit or not. It won't hurt to sand them down a little, even if you think they're clean. (It appears the pulleys are indeed tight. *)
*3. It might be necessary to sand the pulley hole on the INSIDE. There was a bit of overspray from the powder coating inside the center hole for the shaft on one of them. Here's what you need to know! I had to sand out the groove before it would fit onto the shaft. 2. 3. 4. If you need to polish the shafts or the holes on the pulleys, 150-grit sandpaper is the best. 3.

4. There is also a good chance that key pieces, if they're removable, will need to be sanded to remove rust and corrosion. key piece on my table saw's interior pulley had a thin layer of oxidation - this caused the table saw to stop working. There was enough friction between the pulley and the motor for it not to fit. *Am I likely to buy these products In a word, yes. It is only a caveat that they are precise enough to make installation on older equipment difficult.

The pulley is good
4/5

My Craftsman 113 table saw came with an aluminum pulley, so I bought two AK2558 pulleys to replace them. (This listing is for a product called There are two bores of 63 inches and two bores of 2 inches It has an outer diameter of 55). A bent motor pulley on my saw caused wild shaking of the belt and vibration of the entire machine as a result. The pulleys arrived in cardboard boxes, with light coating of oil on their machined bores, and traces of cardboard fibers stuck to them. The product was easy to wipe off, but I did feel the need to do so. I found this pulley to fit nicely on the clean 5/8 motor shaft and key with no slop, and it turns without any visible issues. The set screw works as it should, and the coating seems good, though I didn't scrape it so I can't be sure. This has made my saw run much more smoothly. Even though I still have a small amount of belt shake, I haven't yet replaced the arbor pulley (will do that when I It's a good value for the money. I am happy with this product. Because it's supposed to be a 2, it's missing one star. An outer diameter of 55 inches and a diameter of more like 2 inches. A 5 or slightly less is fine. 2. I am not sure if it is important. It may be that 55 is some kind of nominal dimension that doesn't exist in the real world,.

A keyway is not present on the AK1712
3/5

This was a question that I asked, and I got an overwhelming answer of "yes" from an array of The ID for Ak1712 does not have a keyway machined into it. In addition to the seller, I believe one answer was posed by the buyer. Hence, I am giving this a 2 star rating due to misrepresentation. It seems to be nicely made, which is why it received one extra star.

It is a great product, but it is This is an awesome product, but I ordered the wrong size
5/5

I don't understand why, in the United States of America, we accept and use metric parts, worse yet, SAE and metric components mixed together. Parts that are measured in metric units. However, as my engine shaft is metric, and the pulley I ordered is SAE / Imperial, I will not be able to mount the pulley.

My measurement of the engine shaft was 12/16ths, but I figure it is a 20MM shaft because a I think 75) is just a little bit The motor or some such thing may be around here with a . I'll keep it in my parts box. The shaft I'll have to use with it is a 75. My main complaint is that this pulley is made in China, even though it is very strong, well coated, and well welded. Even so, it is a good product. It's a pity. A trip to the hardware store is in order. Please read carefully

- The hardware stores won't sell metric parts! 18/07/2020 Up to date! Only two suitable pulleys are available on Amazon, and they're very expensive this is I know that American ingenuity will not be hindered by outside forces The bore diameter of the cylinder was ground down to roughly 20mm by a member of my family, and it now fits, if a bit tightly. In light of the lack of keyway on the engine shaft, the setscrew can be used for its intended purpose to drive a supply fan despite the lack of keyway. I ground it down to about a third of its original size after good steel quality.

This is a very good design! The pulley is of excellent quality
5/5

Originally purchased for my drill press as part of a VFD conversion, this was intended to be used on a 1 1/2 horsepower three phase motor. Considering the shaft diameter of the motor was 7/8", I was hoping to find a pulley with the smallest diameter possible. Finding one with this size would be very challenging, however. Nevertheless, this pulley is a perfect fit. This shaft has an overall OD that's about as small as you can get with a shaft this size, and the machine work is exceptional. There is a slight incline in the grub screw hole so that the teeth of the screw grab onto the key inside the keyway, which is very nice. I liked the way it was made and that it worked exactly as I needed it. I give this product 5 stars.

The construction is solid and well done
5/5

On a snowblower, this was used to adjust the speed of the auger. Having changed out the 5hp motor for an 8hp, I put this pulley on the motor, which is only half an inch larger in diameter, but will hopefully keep the snow rolling and launch it across the yard and into the driveway of my neighbor. The snowblower may not have enough power to handle the job, and the whole thing will blow up. I think I should put some safety glasses on.

This seems to be a high-quality product
5/5

There was an issue where some of the earlier reviews complained In the questions section, I inquired if there is a keyway cut, and was told there is. A pulley I ordered came with a keyway and a set screw as described, and it was I was able to use my Craftsman table saw as I expected. So far, I've used the saw a few times with no problems. The complaints have not been heard. I will attempt to update this if it changes.
