This was model 50183 I worked on.
The spring I have is the right replacement for the one on my floor jack, but I am not sure of its torque value.
It would be a waste of time to do this.
This is spring wire, not meant for bending. If you prefer, do whatever you think is best. )Thank you so much, Lazzar's

I love how the fit feels. There is no strong spring that will make the handle pop up before it has sunk all the way down, but if you store it upright, it will keep the handle out of the way, so that you won't trip over As you may believe, these springs are not as simple to install as they appear. The only thing I used was pliers and a small diameter pry bar. There may be some special tools that make this job easier, but this is only a job that occurs once every 20 years.
Old Sears 3 ton service jack with model number 1062695 in my possession. Rust ate through one of the legs of the torsion spring, and the leg snapped The reviews indicate that Sears sends you the wrong spring for this jack when you order it. It follows that the part number listed in the jack's owner manual is not the correct one. It may be that Sears has reassigned the part number to another spring over time, but I am only speculating why this spring is not available Checking the dimensions and thickness of my broken torsion spring with the specifications listed for this spring, I have found that the spring is that thick and that big. In addition to the photos, they were very close to each other. My spring works perfectly after I installed it. As a result, the handle cannot be lifted from the ground to the upright position by the spring However, it does hold the handle at any angle you place it in, and that is also what I prefer. A handle rising up and striking my car's painted bumper would be a very bad idea.
A spring like this worked well for my Allied 3 A broken spring need to be replaced by a ton jack. It may be because I have been using the jack since 1996, but the spring has broken after so much use, so I don't blame it for breaking. Since the new spring doesn't have the same strength as the original (the wire diameter is a little smaller), it doesn't jump back to upright instantly. While the handle needs an assist from time to time to move fully upright, it does not drop, so its functionality has been satisfactory.
There are many hydraulic floor jacks where the handle cannot be left up. This should fit most of them. While it was a little challenging to install, I was able to get it done and it works perfectly. I had to remove two bolts and reposition the spring before reinstalling them.
I purchased this unit to do the work. Due to the short legs, this spring could not be used with the jack, so I had to return it.
Therefore, I purchased the unit from Lazzar's, which had the extra long legs, and I am able to use it now.
I was able to easily replace a broken handle spring on my Home Depot floor jack with this replacement part. Though the spring rate might be slightly less than what originally came with the unit, it still works just.
A Craftsman Professional 2 1/2 ton floor jack had broken its right spring, so I bought this to replace it. I liked it a lot. Most people would probably agree with this. I gave it 5 stars based on the fact that I was able to install it, it works, and it didn't break after the first week of use.
This floor jack was mounted on my Craftsman 3 ton floor jack. I see on YouTube that it is very simple. Three men and a boy were involved in it. I use it every day and.
