I think this is a good idea, but it is poorly executed. When you operate the lever in any position, the ledge that holds the door points downward. You can see how it just moves off the ledge as soon as you get it in the air, throwing it out of alignment in two directions. In addition, if you use it on plush carpet, that effect will be amplified, as the weight of the door will tilt the whole assembly downwards and lift the ledge even further.
The design should be altered so as it lifts, the foot stays level under the door, but as it is, it isn't useful.
There is no way to make this tool Everything slides right off the foot that goes under the door because it is angled downward. You have garbage. This is not a good buy.
Installing doors is a major part of what I do as a finish carpenter. There is a product that looks like it might be helpful, so I purchased it. There's a small lip on the door that keeps slipping off, and you can damage the floor or damage It would help to put a piece of rubber on the door or something to keep it in place.
The door simply slid off two different doors that I tried to use it on. I was intending to return it, but it seems I didn't ask for a return in time. A bumper was placed on the front of the door to protect it, but nothing was placed on the bottom of the support rod to prevent the door from sliding The price is close to It would seem that one more piece of rubber should have been attached since it is $00. The reason for this was that I was never able to use this product.
My experience was good, it could be improved little, but I saved a lot of This allows you to hang doors one at a time. The only thing I wish it had was a way to lock it in place, then I would consider it In the end, however, I did measure for hinges on the door and the jamb.
I think it looks like a fantastic tool, and I am sure the original was great, but this one seems to be a cheap copy Almost lost control after dropping a solid core door on a customer's wood floor after the door is taken off and just slides off, as I did.
If I want the hand to be useful to me, I have to put some kind of slip-resistant pad on it. An excellent idea that has not yet been fully realized. It couldn't have been tested, could it? Moreover, I would increase its size to handle more difficult doors, such as exteriors. A hollow interior door is probably designed for this!.
