I have been using a set of 28 inch Roughneck lifting tongs that have a 2,200lb capacity and I found that it was stressing the swivel connector bolt beyond my capability. It would have taken a 3/4" to replace this original jaw and swivel. The jaw has a small opening, as indicated by the specification. It was a simple process to replace the jaw and the A new jaw and swivel have been added to my "improved" lifting tong, along with an upgraded grade 8 pin securing the jaws It appears that the tongs have been renovated, and now appear to be much stronger and more durable than the original. Thank you for this information.
In the picture, they made sure to turn down the brand when they took it so it looks like they are ashamed that it is made in China. My concern is I won't feel safe using it due to the fact that I don't know if it or the materials it's made of have been.
The scope of the project was greater than I anticipated. I have used the stump puller to remove stumps without any issues.
It was on time and well kept. I expected it to do what it does. I will purchase.
The part I received was not the right one, a wooden pulley was sent. You can return the item by taking off work and spending more money to return it and waiting to be reimbursed.
