It's great for handholes

I've used it to remove hand hole covers with no problems; you must kneel or bend down to use it, but that hasn't been a problem for me. I don't open a lot of hand holes, but if I did, I'd go for something a little longer.

The only real "problem" is that the hook's end doesn't have a point, so if there's compacted dirt, mud, slush, or ice where you need to hook onto the handhole/manhole, you'll have to clean it out with a screwdriver or something else first. br>br>Considering the price, I like having it as a backup because I work at a job where I use them frequently and I've been known to forget.

It was well worth the money

This hook is a little short, so the person lifting it will be slightly bent over, but it stores easily and isn't too heavy. It's perfect for occasional use, and the stainless steel is a big plus for a ten-dollar tool. This is far superior to a pry bar in terms of effectiveness.

It's compact and effective

It's a small tool that does a fantastic job. It assisted me in lifting a large manhole cover in front of my house in order to retrieve a ball that had gotten stuck in the drainage system. The standard is up to par. I won't have to use it very often, but when I do, it will be useful.

To check on water flow, I had to open the water meter box multiple times. I installed a WiFi device that shows me how much water I'm using minute by minute. It was extremely beneficial. This small tool came in handy when it came to lifting the meter box's heavy lid.
