In one case it is 18 inches in the other it is 24 inches. I am 50 inches tall. one of the photos there is a diagram of the dimensions. It appears in the second image.

The hook is what I used to make it shorter.
In a humid curing chamber, I use these for hanging salami and other cured meat products. As soon as I exposed the hooks to curing salts and high humidity, they began to rust. I've used these for months in these conditions and they haven't failed me.
The steel shown here is GENUINE STAINLESS STEEL, unlike so many others selling steel that claims to be stainless steel. It is a good idea to buy these with confidence. You'll see how it works when you pull out your magnet. There's no such thing as a fake.

Really handy to hang my hummingbird feeders on.
Be a champ at your job! The thick stuff! Keep them from rusting! I use them to hang my small bird feeders outdoors. Weight will not be an issue! Grade of a Marine!.
It is exactly what it is meant to be. It was used to raise a chandelier that was a bit too low, and I did not want to cut it and rewire it.
As you can see, these are In the shape of the letter S, hooks are placed. As soon as I collect the whole alphabet, I will start working on it.
