Can you tell me how thick each hook is?

They really do seem thick, but I don't know exactly how thick they are. Battery chargers hang from the ceiling in my cart barn, where I use them to suspend them. About a hundred of these are in my electric golf carts. They're really strong and work great. Thanks, and I hope that helped.

It is too bad that this can no longer be made in the US. The fact that Hillman charges premium prices for their products makes it sad they no longer manufacture most of them in the United States.
