So I purchased this to replace an S hook that I had purchased from a local hardware store. During the previous move, I misplaced one of my hammock hooks. I had no idea they were restricted by different weights. Let's pretend the S hook I bought from the store broke during some "fun" my wife and I were having in the hammock. I went looking for a S hook that could withstand the pressure because my hips, knees, and backs were not bruised or hurting. That's exactly what this S hook did. We were able to spend some quality time in our hammock, which is still going strong. It was well worth the money!.
I'm using it with a metal frame, and the curve on the S is a little too curvey for my liking. I've had straighter ones in the past. However, it works fine; my hammock/frame can support my entire family (wife and two boys, ages 9 and 13), so these can hold a lot of weight. It's just a little more difficult to get on and off due to the curviness.
