Made from 6063 solid aluminum alloy, an alloy that has been used for iPhone back covers, door frames, and roofs. It has an anodic oxide coating, which is resistant to corrosion, and can also be used in humid areas like bathrooms. For heavy duty hanging, you need 2" of thickness.

They are very durable because they are made of metal. The lighter I used was lightweight and I used it as a wall hanger Items in my kitchen that are heavier (a pot holder, silicon spatula, and hand towel).
