Questions & Answers
Carbs for Walbro are measured in this gauge. On the front of the carbs is stamped the number of the dial for setting the meter. On mine I do not see a "WG".
It is engraved along the legs of the tool that the model or type of Walbro carburetors this tool applies to.
Tang can be adjusted easily with a small screwdriver blade and finger and the other end is held by the other hand. A Tang can be bent with surprisingly little force since it is delicate. If the gauge indicates no adjustments are necessary, then no adjustment is needed.
Sadly, the tool does not have a WYA section on it. So, I am not sure if it will work. In addition to WTA, WA, WGA, and WLA, a list of other tools is provided

The purpose of this purchase was to replace one that I had loaned out to a friend who never returned it. It seems that every time I think I can trust someone, I end up losing a valuable In any case. When rebuilding a carburetor, you have no need to adjust the metering lever unless you are installing a metering pump. Investing a few dollars more in a genuine gauge is also worthwhile. Copying from China can vary greatly, especially when it comes to cheap copies. Your engine can be made to run poorly or not at all with just a tiny amount of error. A metering lever needs to be adjusted regardless of whether you replace it. Metrage levers are used on different carbs, each of which requires a different setting. It is easy to fail a rebuild by not adjusting the metering lever. Many times I find that somebody has rebuilt a carburetor, but then it still doesn't run, or it runs worse than before. After adjusting the metering lever, I proceed to the next step. Most of these failed ‘rebuilds’ are solved by this method. Only 10% of the problem is not cleaning the carb passages and not adjusting the metering lever correctly. I really feel that it is that important 'close enough' isn't good enough.
This is what my Poulan 16-inch carb looked like after I rebuilt it. I recently set the metering valve on a chainsaw and discovered that the tang you bend to adjust it is in a recess, which makes it unpleasant at best. There is no better tool for the job than this. At least I now know the easy way to check to make sure the tang is properly adjusted, even though I still wish I knew how to bend the tang precisely and straight without removing the metering lever from which it is part!.
I considered replacing my gas trimmer, but decided to have it repaired This tool was the only tool I needed to rebuild my carburetor, other than a screwdriver. Despite finding it, ordering it, and having it in my hands within a week, I was very pleased with the results. Suddenly, my trimmer operates as if it had never been used.
This was just what my Chain Saw carb needed after it had been set over the winter with the gas not being drained properly, thus keeping it from tuning up.
This was a very durable product, which arrived earlier than predicted.
Using this software is very easy.
This is the first time I have seen such a tool as I work on carbs a lot. Once I tried it, I found the adjustments to be swift and easy.
Using this will be necessary if you plan to rebuild a carburetor.
