My application has worked very well, it appears to be sturdy enough for my application, and it rolls quickly. My locking casters were sourced locally, instead of the supplied ones, and I was impressed that they were a standard size. I did choose to use my own hardware instead of the cheese grade nuts and bolts, mostly because I wanted a carriage type bolt for the poly drum.
The idea is to fill this barrel with water to make water changes on my fish tanks. I fill my 100g barrel with water. That way, I can fill the barrel, roll it to where I need it, and fill it up. There is no need to fill it out more than once in certain places. You only need to fill it once, and it will be moved to the desired location. You've got a great blog. The build is well done and the assembly is straightforward.
I didn't waste time on the bolts that were provided since the part was just what I ordered. With a 500 lb barrel full of fluid, the barrel rolls easily. The wheels were welded to the base, they will last a lifetime.

I liked the barrel dolly very much. The 55 gallon barrel holds waste oil collected from my heating oil furnace. installed my own heater and am using waste oil for it. About 2/3's of a barrel full was pumped in, and I was able to push around with ease. It is to fill the barrel from another barrel on my truck when I move the barrel. This dolly is excellent and assembly is very straightforward. I'm very happy with it.
It is on the way. The main purpose I use it for is to move a barrel full of water which I use as ballast for my tractor, so about It's very easy to move it around the garage for storage and for hooking up.
It took me a short amount of time to put together. There is a lot of solidity in this. In fact, I bought it specifically to enable me to maintain my 30" Yukon Solo stove firepit within reach on my patio. It is now easy for me to move it on my own.

This works perfectly, so we purchased a second one to handle an umbrella stand that weighs 115 pounds for another move and we love it as well. One of our neighbors purchased one too after being so impressed. It is easy to put together, and moves smoothly. This is a highly recommended book.
