Yes, you can use dry erase markers on the non-magnetic side, which is white.
An MSDS for a product like this is unlikely to be found. They aren't technically required. Another scenario would be if you purchased a wooden chair. Because they are GRASS (Generally Recognized as Safe Substances) articles, no MSDS is required. MSDSs are typically used for materials with a lot of "chemistry," rather than solid objects. Of course, you can always contact the manufacturer and ask for one. This does not imply that they are obligated to do so.
Magnetic fields and electronics, as far as I'm aware, do not get along. Magnet strength and the amount of shielding around components, on the other hand, are variables. I can't say for sure to what extent this is true.

I bought a roll of this "magnetic" material to cover some vents in my house. Unfortunately, due to its low magnetism, the product was unable to adhere to the vent cover. I'm not sure what application this product would be useful for. I'm not happy.
This item did not perform as it was supposed to. I wanted to go back, regardless of the cost of shipping. It was a waste of money. I intended to use it on the vents in the interior of the house.

Eureka! This was ideal because I could cut it to fit and it was simple to install and remove. I couldn't have asked for a better solution.

When not in use, these tables will rust if they are exposed to normal humidity levels. Furthermore, any small drip causes corrosion, which spreads quickly. These are ideal for preventing rust and corrosion on the tables of large power equipment. They're impossible to beat.
Great magnet that sticks well, but the roll is much smaller than many others I've purchased, and it didn't specify whether the color was opaque or glossy; other than that, it's a good fit for a car or truck with less-than-shiny paint.
