The chain is not stamped with the G70 logo It is also difficult to tell whether the hooks are marked As per the FMCSA, this chain is assumed to be a G30 chain. In the end, I ordered this chain to the purpose of securing equipment to a trailer and I am not permitted to.
It seems okay to me, but I have not checked the length. I would rate the chain as being of good There are a number of prominent welds visible This is in contrast to chains from the good ol' days when they were made in the United States. You should be able to use it if you don't mind the rough appearance I like how strong the welds look. There are a lot of these type of products that advertise "zinc plating," but they are gold in color, and zinc is silver. I believe it might be fat-free butter, but it is very thin coat that flakes off upon first use, so you will need to keep it lubricated so it doesn't rust. Apart from that, it seems OK. China has a typical quality that can be seen everywhere nowadays.
It would have been better for me if I checked the reviews more carefully, because I wouldn't have bought from this store. A defective component was used to make the chain I received. There is corrosion pitting in the surface. Using it on a farm might be ok. As long as you don't use it for securing loads, you could be fined, or worse, there is the worry that you could hurt someone Again, BEWARE OF THE BUYER.
There is no mark of G70 on these. Zinc finish is average for a product of this price range.
It's a heavy chain, but the only disappointing thing about it is that the links are covered in a white sand residue.
Product of excellent quality We got stuck in the mud while fishing with friends, and I wouldn't have been able to get out of it without this towing chain.
It works as expected when there is a strong chain.
