The fan is used to cool an aerator pump housed in a pump housing in my backyard. The pump manufacturer recommended this particular fan for this purpose. It had been about 7 months since the fan started operating intermittently, sometimes spinning and sometimes completely stopping. In this case, the pump overheated because the fan wasn't functioning properly. In view of the fact that the fan had been installed to cool a $600 pump, it was imperative that the fan function. The fan let me down, as you might expect. Dayton fans have always worked well for me in the past, but I had wondered if the fan I recently bought was a Chinese knock-off I got a lot of flak for playing the Dayton fan card. Then that would become a FRCA issue rather than an ERC issue. There is a Dayton matter. My knowledge of the topic is limited. There is only one problem I can tell you My Dayton fan of this type failed after a short period of time.

A replacement aerator pump was exactly what I needed.

-I found this online and bought it to repair a drying conveyor that had two bad fans. -I bought this to repair a drying conveyor that had two bad fans and the part was quite expensive. I bought this fan for a fraction of the price it would have cost at a dealer.
