Someone in the survival/emergency preparedness industry recommended that I buy this wrench. While I like how long this wrench lasts, I don't think it's necessary to purchase one. Despite the fact that this wrench appears to have a lot of keys/noches, you'll only use two of them if you're buying it for 15/55 gallon drums. Furthermore, I have 15 gallon drums with smaller "bungs" on them that this wrench was unable to open. Instead, I had to open the smaller bungs with my ten-dollar plastic bung wrench. To sum it up, this is a top-notch wrench. However, it is quite heavy, does not open smaller "bungs," and is quite pricey; would you be disappointed if you purchased this wrench? If you only wanted to open up smaller "bungs," that is.
Wow! What a powerful piece of equipment. This is a large and heavy item. It's not something you'd want to carry around with you all of the time. It looks like something a Star Trek Vulcan would use in battle. br>br>On that point, the reviewer who stated that the wrench does not fit the smaller bungs is completely incorrect. One of the rings has a small fitting that fits into the smaller bungs on the outside.
I can open the barrels that I have if the occasion arises.
It performs admirably. It is a good fit for the bung. I have a large "Phillips head" vent that the wrench does not accommodate, and if it did, it would receive a five-star rating.
This tool was a perfect fit for everything I tried it on. This one will not break because it is made of solid steel. I'm at a loss for words.
Even the most difficult drum bungs can be easily opened with this product. Don't squander your cash on low-cost light-weight models.
