The last time I wrote this was decades ago. Hanna indicated that there was not a date on the package of expiration, otherwise it would have been easier to identify the problem. A bad batch of reagents was used
3/5

My recent purchase at Amazon was a Hanna Instruments HI713 Checker HC Handheld Colorimeter for Phosphates, as well as a 25-pack of Hanna Reagents. It worked very well, and I'm getting a reading of 0 for phosphates, following the directions to the letter. 0 to 12 My Reef Aquarium always contains an average of 16 pieces. To make sure it did not contain phosphates (RO-water), I tested it It keeps returning 0, so I don't know what's going on. A 12-minute crash course The readings on RO-tests have consistently been 0 on various phosphates tests (Salifert, Red Sea, Seachem). I also ran phosphates tests on NEW tanks and they consistently showed positive results. The combination of DI water and is. Taking pride in the Reef Aquarium, which has a Reactor that runs Rowaphos to eliminate phosphates, this method makes sense to me. In the end, I contacted Hanna Instruments directly they told me the package that I purchased here on Amazon (I gave them my serial number) was a flawed lot and they advised me to return it. Usually I can return or get a refund for items I purchased, but I wasted a lot of time trying to fix bad Reagents. Since it took so long, I had to let it sit as I cannot return the package. The report from your apparatus might indicate that the reagents were not of good quality. Beware if you see irregular or erroneous results from your device.

I have a hard time pouring the reagent packets into the testing device
4/5

It was somewhat challenging pouring the reagent packets into the testing container, but was no more difficult than we While I wish there was a liquid reagent in the future, until then I have to rely on these packets. In my experience, I've found it helps to spread the packet onto a folded post-it note and then place it into the testing container.

A good way to test PO4 is by running a functional test
5/5

Testing P04 always makes me unhappy, since I have a high FOWLR, but I'd prefer accurate results over anything else, and I know that a Hanna meter and the CA reagent are the best tools for doing so. The product works as expected, so we recommend it.

5/5

That is exactly what my boyfriend and I were looking for to use with our Hanna Phosphate Checker! They were the only ones selling it we could find! That's especially true for something that's.
