It is not possible to hold a tube of that size with the tongs. In the case of the clamps, the space between them is just under 1 inch. It won't fit tubes smaller than 32mm in diameter, as it has a 25" tube diameter.
Cork is used in the making of these tongs The canister should not be heated over a flame as it is lined.
It's not clear to me. When I pour boiling water over hot sauce bottles, I use them to lift them out of the I am satisfied with it.
In my opinion, they would perform the same purpose I would however use beaker tongs. It's better to use beaker tongs since the grip (the end that grips the object) is more like the shape of a pie plate, plus they're less expensive. Those are the ones I use for narrow flasks.

It is possible, however, that the cork liner needs to be reinforced. Having bought a pair of the "SEOH Beaker Tongs 1/4 Thick" and using them for a few days, I then decided that I also needed these "Esco Labs Safety Flask/Beaker Tongs. ". The first thing I noticed about them was that they were larger and heavier than I had expected. About 12 inches long and 179 pounds in weight, they were almost identical. G. 74. My background is medical, where really professional work is almost accepted as the standard. In general, these tongs work well, with two noticeable weak points, one of which is unlikely to cause any problems. When mishandled, the riveting that enables the two halves to join near the center may be displaced up to 1/4 ", down to 1/4 ", and through the center. By rotating the tongs in relation to the other half, you can loosen the rivets and permanently cause them to deviate from planarity. Diamond sales would be halted if abuses like these were committed Out of its out- er surface, it forms a gripping area Here's the deal As a result, the tongs are not able to grab the neck of an erlenmeyer flask afterward due to box flushness. My expectation is that tongs will return the favor if I treat them well. point is the CORK INNER LINER, which provides insulation against a hot flask, and also a level of friction between the metal and whatever it touches. Without the cork lining, the smooth metal would be slippery when grabbing. The cork liner that I received had been glued slightly off of the edge of one side, so I had to carefully scrape off the cork piece that was hanging out of its metal underside. The plating process. Additionally, I anticipated that over time, the cork may peel away in bits as a result of wear and tear There are signs of wear and tear. Therefore, I used 2 1" x 4" strips of Scotch Transparent Tape (one for the upper diamond and another for the lower diamond) and it was rolled tightly around all four attachment points, so that no bits of cork could detach from the metal underneath. In a “fix”, if the tape does not react well to hot glass, it may cease to work. As of right now, however, everything appears to be fine. The rest will happen in time. I'm glad I bought them, too, even though they seem to be overpriced by $3.
It's important to note that although these tongs may seem ideal for handling very small items, I've found they're actually very stable when picking up a custard bowl. The best way to get a good grip on a bowl is to use one with vertical walls. Having been legally blind for a number of years, I have a challenging time safely judging depth and distance, especially when attempting to place, and remove, small, hot items from the close confines of a toaster oven, They prove to be extremely helpful in solving that little safety issue. There are long handles on the mugs, and I appreciate that. One issue I have is that the gripper ends don't open far enough to grip the bowl with one hand. It's going to take both hands to pick up a custard bowl with these, or you can bend the gripper ends out a little more on an anvil. Whichever way I use them, I will. The handles are long enough, so I am able to place a custard bowl well within the center of the rack without having to pull my rack out, and yet I have still have some room to work, without burning my fingers. It is nice that the grippers are coated in cork. The design of the grip makes it very safe to hold. Due to the fact that cork does not ignite until 572F (300C), they are ideal for holding custard bowls that are set to a temperature of 450 or higher when they are out of the oven. I agree with another poster that the rivet at the pivot is somewhat questionable from a maintenance standpoint, however, for the price as these are, you shouldn't have a problem buying a new pair should the need arise. I love it.
I really like the product, and the price is really reasonable. It can hold big beakers up to 500 ml with room to spare, as well as small beakers of 15 ml with no issues at all. As long as the tongs are long enough, you can work over hot surfaces without burning yourself. Strong and well-made, the tongs are a good buy.
I was pleased with the price.
I found these tongs to be very helpful. I am very pleased with the quality of the product I bought and the speed of shipping.
The movie was a huge hit with my son!.
Nicely built and heavily constructed. This was a heavier piece than I expected, but it was of good quality. I didn't expect the size to be as large as it was, so I took advantage of that.
Thanks for your kind words.
