Questions & Answers
It is very nice of you to ask. There is no design for high temperatures in these.
It is appropriate to drill a standard 3/8" hole in the #8 Rubber Stopper.
Any bottle with a #2 stopper should be able to use it. To cultivate yeast in a beer bottle, I will be using these bottles.
This is not the way to go. It cost me less than a dollar each to buy stoppers from a local shop (Reno Home Brewing).

My quest to find a white single hole #8 began as early as the 1970s when I started collecting rubber stoppers. It has taken me around the globe, to jungles, arid deserts, and struggling to cross the Pacific to the far east in search of the #8. Now, I can finally retire after finding the stopper of my dreams.
This stopper fits perfectly and allows for a tight seal so that an airlock can function properly.
I thought a number 8 cork and stopper would both be the same size. Otherwise, I think they are well made items. Although, I'll need to stock up on a bigger bottle to use them.
They were the wrong size for me, so I had to return them. This is however not the case They are really strong, and I would use them if they were the right size for me. They sold me a few others and I am quite satisfied with them!.
I like it!.
I liked the product a lot, but I would recommend drilling a pilot hole first if you intend to drill any more holes than the one it came with.
