Would these caps fit a kombucha bottle GT makes?

It is the cap made from black plastic with the cone-shaped We would have no problems using them for GT kombucha bottles. A 10-point scale Having a great 2015 so far! There has been a change in bottles at GT's Kombucha. There are several new features on the new style bottle "GT's" are embossed on the outside of the white plastic cap's top. It is not possible to maintain the thread continuity of the inside of the cap. There is a light blue hue to the inner top of the plastic cap. Around the mouth of the glass bottle there are two complete threads. There are three main differences between the old and new bottles A white plastic cap top has one continuous thread around the mouth*br> Cap has a white thread going around it*br> One thread going around the entire These black replacement caps will not fit the new style bottles that utilize the poly seals.

My 1 gallon jug did not fit the gloves. Do you have another size available?

Despite the comments here, I tried them on the New Wave Enviro jugs and they did not fit. My cap snapped within seconds of screwing it in, as instructed by others here. I pushed down on it while screwing it, but it appeared to be fine at first, but the cap soon split and broke during use.

What is the BPA-free policy?

It is true that the 38 mm poly seal screw caps do not contain BPA.

The new ones DO fit the old ones We have GT Kombucha & GT Synergy bottles (and older vintage bottles too) you can use to store your Kombucha! When I home brew kombucha, I need caps that seal tightly to maintain the carbonation during the second As you read through Q & A, you will find that The bottles are the same style as the ones from Dave's GT kombucha
5/5

There is a slight change in the screw-on cap of the new bottles In comparison with the previous style bottles, there is a change in thread configuration. There are a few ways to determine if you have the new version There is a raised design on the cap of each plastic bottle now that reads "GT". (At one time, the older bottles had a smooth plastic cap. The card does not emboss. how these caps work on the newer style GT bottles, and I have not had any problems with them performing the function I require for them This is fitted so tightly there is no carbonation escaping. In the old-style GT bottles you can find It is totally contained after I have made several batches of it Caps like these do not permit leakage through the sides. As a result, I am getting all fizzy (Mmm! It is a) A NEW style of GT bottles is available It is because of the screw that In contrast to the prior style bottles, these polycarbonate bottles have some closer threads and a little bit different configuration. The seal caps do not screw or tighten down as far as the bottles' caps. The trick is to turn them on tight, make sure they are screwed down as far as they can go, and they will work fine! When I have used them on my new style bottles, there has been no loss of carbonation. As with the old-style bottles, having these caps on produces the same fizz effect. I am very pleased with the new style bottles and I think it's great that I have more of the new style than the old style on hand. Your GT bottle has just as much effect no matter which one you're using. Once the caps are filled, make sure to tighten them thoroughly. Once your 2nd ferment has been successful (assuming you have followed all other steps in the 2nd fermentation process correctly), you will experience great success with your 3rd ferment. A brief update 27 April 2017 In the aftermath of 9 a. m. Having used the same caps for the newer bottles for a few months now, I think I've gained a good amount of experience. As far as I am concerned, these caps work well on the newer thread. Now you will find that the caps seem not to screw all the way down - the bottles are almost all of the GT style. As a result of the thread design, this occurs. The 2nd fermentation has been completed, and I will admit that sometimes a bottle will not be However, I still have a few of the original posts- It happens that one of those isn't quite as fizzy as the others (I put them in the refrigerator after the second brew because I make multiple bottles at the same According to many "kombucha brewing experts," a brew can sometimes be more carbonated or less carbonated than a different one. The style is the same as the second It looks like what has been posted on other sites is what I have found to be true. If the cap is not seated on the thread, you may need to turn the end gently to the left until it is and then screw it on tightly. However, in a perfect world, I would really appreciate it if a cap manufacturer made caps that really fit the new There is however a 'GT' initial embossed into the glass on the bottom, so maybe Dave (Dave's GT) did have an exclusive on the thread design, and cap manufacturers are not interested in catering to a very small percentage of.

These are replacing the new white GT's I bought a few days ago
3/5

Added to edits on February 8, 2017 This is a 3 now. This is a five star review. It is true that most of the new GT style bottles are sealed most of the time. The *70 caps I bought from a local store have shatter at least 10 times while I am threading In the future, if/when all these caps break, I hope there is a new supply of caps that fit those bottles perfectly and last much longer than the white caps and do not break or leak like the white caps do. The "new style" white GT's caps on the "new? I bought these to replace the "new style" white GT's caps on the It can be found in "bottles. There have been reports of these not working, and a few reports of them working, so I took the liberty of adding my vote to the record. * "I have attached a photo of a freshly opened bottle that I shook the hell out of while the black cap was on, you can clearly see no evidence of leakage from Here is a picture of it as I uncapped it to demonstrate its sealing capacity. If you overtightened the cap threads on the white lids, you might damage the cap. Whenever I thread these black caps on, I reach a point where there is just a slight resistance building, and I tighten just a little more until I get a perfect.

There is no white metal cap on the black plastic poly seal
5/5

Date May 5 This is an update for 2016. I'm still using the old style GT's bottles with these 38mm poly caps, and they still fit very well. It seals well and allows moderate amount of fizz to build up in the beer. It is worth noting, however, that the new style GT bottles and re-designed It works very well to use the new style bottle caps. a tremendous amount of fizz build up in the air when the water is pumped It is now possible to use the new style of bottle and cap. - (same brew, same batch, but different bottles are used for second ferment,. . . ) - Many of the new style bottles have a very noticeable pressurized "dome" on the lids and are almost exploding when opened. sink, if you don't want to have to clean up liquids. Having a little extra fizz is something I really appreciate. 10 - An update for 2105 has been posted. I still have these bottles fitted with these caps and they are still working fine. Again, I repeat GT's kombucha bottles in the new design will not work with these. In the past, I have attempted to spread the word to sites like kombucha kamp, but they ignored me. This week 9- The number of the order was increased due to the expansion of my brewing. This note applies This is a change in the bottle design for GT's Kobucha. The old style GT's bottles will not fit these capless This week 9- I used them for a couple batches of kombucha this year. The old-style GT's bottles work very well with them,

08- Glass Bottle Outlet has just delivered 24 of these to Amazon, fulfilled by them. The inner seal is formed from a cone-shaped piece of black plastic. I was able to fit them perfectly into my old style GT Kombucha bottles. There is a photo on Amazon showing the 38mm Poly Seal caps in black plastic. It should be noted, however, that While placing the order and even now as I leave a review, I see in the thumbnail photo that the white metal cap is displayed. These plastic GT bottle caps appear to be well made and they feel like they will seal more effectively than.
