All product is washed and packaged in a 100 class cleanroom, to guarantee that organic contaminants such as silicone, amide, or phthalate esters are not found.

Likewise, the hard seam that runs around the edges of the fabric, where it is bonded, is a problem I encountered on the polyester version of these. You won't scratch your workpiece if you stick to the flat side, but if you slip, or need to get in a tighter corner, you may end up scratching the No big deal for general cleaning or polishing of clear parts and optical lenses, but watch out for the hard and abrasive seams on the edges. I think you will find these useful and decent for the price if you don't get caught up in that.
