Yes, remove the case, turn off the phone, dry any visible water, shake it off, and then open the original bag and place your phone inside, sealing it. Simply immerse your phone in the 30 pack of 5 gram packets. It could take up to 48 hours, depending on how wet your phone is. While flushing the toilet, a member of our family unintentionally dropped her iPhone. Because the phone was stuck, a plumber was needed to remove it. Her phone had been soaked for several hours, but it was recovered after 48 hours of immersion in the packets. The only thing she needed to do was replace the cracked screen. How long should these last if I use them in a Pelican camera case?

Pelican cases, I assume, are watertight. If that's the case, they'll last a long time because the silica will dry out the air inside the case and keep it that way. However, how often and for how long it is exposed to humidity in the external air when the case is opened will determine how long it lasts.

If I keep these in a small money safe, how often should I replace them? How many packets do I use, and how many do I use at a time?

It would depend on how big the safe is, how well it's sealed off from the rest of the world, and the "average" humidity level. Instead of these, I'd go with the 40 gram aluminum shell desiccant option, which is best for small containers and sealed plastic bags. You might find some helpful hints on the mfrs website.

The 5 gram packets are actually larger than I expected, making them ideal for storing in a bag with medicine in the refrigerator or elsewhere

They're a lot bigger than the tiny ones that come with a lot of the things you buy. It's got a nice re-imagined feel to it. This item arrived in excellent condition and was simple to use. It comes in resealable bags, which makes it very handy. I put one on each of my plastic shoe boxes, and it keeps my shoes dry and free of moisture. I also put one in each purse and placed them inside all plastic containers to keep humidity and mold at bay, and they work perfectly.

I refuse to buy walmart brand ginko biloba and other supplements because I know I'm paying for the bottle and them capping it for me, as well as the fillers they add to inflate the price, so I buy in bulk from bulk supplements, also available on amazon, and these dry pouches are superior to all other pouches because they're harder to accidentally tear open and you get a huge amount for a low price. I recommend buying three and you'll be set for about three years Moisture can change the chemical state of supplements, nootropics, and chemical powders, so I highly recommend these pouches!.

These were purchased to absorb excess moisture inside a fireproof safe, as well as inside camera equipment storage cases and other electronic storage containers. I haven't had to air my safe weekly as the manufacturer recommends, and my camera equipment and stored electronic devices appear to be in good working order, so I'm pleased with my purchase.

I'd been curious about desiccants for a while, wanting to use them on vitamins and other things, but I'd been limited to the desiccants found in drug vials and some packaged items. These desiccant packs were inexpensive, and they were suitable for use in drug and vitamin jars, as well as instant coffee jars. I would have preferred the see-through plastic. Paper packs, on the other hand, were food-safe. They appear to be quite effective. They ought to last for a while.

Packs of 100 grams I'm storing more things in canisters, containers, jars, and the like these days; when it comes to bagged goods, I just put the bag inside and a Silica Gel pack next to it. I suspend the packet from the lid of canisters/jars so that product does not spill out. br> - Even in the humid Gulf Coast climate, the humidity meter indicates that these are excellent; )
- I haven't had to try recharging any yet, but I will be getting more in the future, in a larger package.
- I received my package in excellent condition as well.
