Silica Gel Beads, Size: 2-4 mm; These are not the fine powder type for drying flowers; Do not use them for flower drying; Place the beads inside organza bags, muslin bags, or any other breathable bags; Replacement desiccant for air dryers and compressors
Blue silica gel beads will change to Pink when 50-60 moisture is absorbed with moisture ; Still almost half more capacity is left to absorb moisture even after color change; 3% Cobalt Chloride which might pose a health risk if ingested in large quantities ; Do not use for food or medication
Place the beads in the oven for a minute to reactivate them. 5 to 2 hours at 200 to 250F or 10 minutes in the microwave on defrost mode; don't use the oven above 250F; depending on the condition of the beads, it may take less time than the recommended time; please check the color of the beads periodically.
The beads are kept in an airtight sealed container for long-term preservation and protection; the jug has a handle for easy carrying and pouring; and the packaging jugs are made in the United States.

WORKS - Removes moisture from the PCP Air Gun Tank while it is being filled
5/5

OVERVIEWbr>I bought this to use with a portable 4500 PSI compressor and a universal in-line compressor. An Umarex Gauntlet PCP air rifle and a line filter were used to fill the Umarex Gauntlet PCP air rifle. Tank with a capacity of 45 liters and a pressure of 4500 pounds per square inch. I get about 4 to 6 top offs between 1500 and 3000 psi before the desiccant in the filer needs to be replaced. I've only used the microwave to reactivate desiccant a couple of times, and there's still some residue in the bowl. I haven't tried reactivating the desiccant with a stove set at 200 F for 12 to 2 hours as the instructions suggest, but I imagine it would be less harsh on the desiccant. br>PROSbr>Does a good job of removing moisturebr>Reactivates as describedbr>The container in which the beads arrive is sturdybr>br>CONSbr>It's a little pricey, especially considering I didn't need two lbs of it. br>br>CONSbr>It's a little pricey, especially considering I didn't need two lbs of it. To transfer them from most containers, you'll need a couple of funnels, either to use in the moisture removal process, to transfer them for reactivation, or to return them to the original container they came in after reactivation. If you're filling a PCP gun/tank, you'll need a desiccant, and these fit the bill. br>br>RELATEDbr>12V Portable PCP Air Compressor with Transformer (available on Amazon)br>(Universal In-Line PCP Air Compressor)br>(Universal In-Line PCP Air Compressor)br>(Universal In-Line PCP Air Compressor)br>(Univers Creation Core High Pressure PCP Hand Pump Air Filter Water-Filtering Line Filter) br>Umarex Gauntlet (available on Amazon) Oil Separator with Female and Male Quick Connect for High Pressure Air Compressor Pump 30Mpa Gold (available on Amazon).

A top-notch desiccant from a top-notch firm
5/5

My work with 3D printing and other hobbies has been difficult because I live in a humid environment; by the end of the week, half of my filaments and products would be saturated. Because I am a fan of reusable products, I decided to give this one a try. I also noticed that the company was helpful in answering customer questions and posting the product data sheet, which I consider to be a big plus. So far, this product has exceeded my expectations. Placing my pla filaments and prototypes in a sealed container with a few ounces of beads has kept them dry and strong. I've only had to reheat the beads once, due to a faulty container seal (not the product's fault), but it was simple to do. I would strongly advise anyone who works in a humid environment or with products that are sensitive to high humidity to use this product.

My filiment is kept dry with this
5/5

This product is excellent for reducing humidity in storage. I made nylon holders out of 3D printing and stored them with my filiment to keep them dry. It really works. I like how it changes color to indicate when it has absorbed as much as it can. When that happens, I simply throw the printed package with this in it in the oven for a few hours (nylon is good to far beyond what you need to recharge these) and it's ready to use again.

Is what it claims to be and does what it claims to do
5/5

These are silica gel beads (desiccant beads), which are used to absorb moisture from the air and protect items that would be damaged by dampness. The beads can be "recharged" by placing them in a warm oven for a few minutes to evaporate any excess moisture. Dark blue is visible on dry beads. When beads reach their moisture capacity, they turn a light pinkish clear color, making it easy to spot when they need to be replaced. br>br>I have a few small benches that I can use. I keep power tools of this style on a workbench in a damp climate. I keep each tool covered with its own heavy-duty bag when not in use. a heavy-duty plastic bag I stuff these silica gel beads into a small burlap drawstring pouch in each bag. They appear to be doing an excellent job. The tools are still bone-dry after a few months. I keep a couple of sacks for each tool on hand so that I can swap in a new bag while the old one recharges. Overall, a nice, simple, and effective solution to an otherwise perplexing problem. br>br>.

It really works
5/5

This is an excellent product. It's in a few Pelican cases where I keep my camera gear. I put it in plastic pill bottles that have a row of small holes drilled around the circumference. I wasn't sure if that would be sufficient airflow, but it is. Over the course of a few weeks, they turn pink. I recharge in the microwave, but I have to pour the pellets into a bowl because the pill bottles will melt if I don't. When these things heat up, I can't believe how much water vapor comes out of them. They do the job, but don't expect them to dry your car or house and then complain about it. They're great for safes and storage cases because they're small and enclosed.

Excellent quality and simple reactivation
5/5

I purchased a second quart of this product to use in preparing and sending leaf tissue samples for DNA extraction. When there is no longer any moisture to be absorbed from the samples, the excess desiccant can be removed from the packets and easily reactivated in a toaster oven, as indicated by the blue color indicator. When the beads can't absorb any more moisture, they turn pink. When they're reactivated, the blue color comes back.

Make a sock out of it
5/5

I stuffed it in a sock and hung it on my safe's door. When I go to retrieve items, there is no longer a stale moldy odor. To dry it, I set the oven to the lowest setting, let it preheat for a few minutes, then turn it off and place the sock on a foil-lined pan to cool completely. Return it to the safe, and your uncle will be bobbed. A double layer of ladies stockings would have been a better option, but I don't wear stockings, so that wasn't an option for me.
