How Our Score Is Calculated

Product Description

"[Moisture Indicating Desiccant] - Contains orange-colored silica gel that indicates when the desiccant needs to be replaced or recharged, with the orange crystals turning blackish as the desiccant gets older."
[Reusable Desiccant Packets] - Microwave or oven can be used to rejuvenate them. Microwave on DEFROST mode for 5 to 7 minutes, or bake at 250 degrees for 5 to 7 minutes. The packets may melt or scorch if they are overheated while still hot. Refill only when the packets are completely saturated.
[Electronic Double Packing for Safety]
[Food Grade Silica Gel] - Absorbs a lot of moisture (up to 35%). This product is safe to use with food and pharmaceuticals because it is nontoxic, nonpolluting, and free of copper-based compounds. To indicate silica, an orange gel could be used instead of blue.
We Guarantee Your Satisfaction] - If you're not happy with the service, you can contact our customer service team at any time for immediate assistance.

Questions & Answers

Can I use a regular oven to dry the bags? I'm afraid I don't have access to a microwave. ?

Hi, the silica gel packets can be recharged in a conventional oven at a temperature of around degree F, but the drying time will be longer than with a microwave, and they can be reused as new once the dark green crystals have turned orange. Please note that after repeated heating at high temperatures, the orange crystals may turn purple instead of dark green, but this will not affect their moisture absorbing function.

Packs that have been depleted need to be refilled
3/5

I'm not going to buy any more of these. They changed color very quickly, and despite my reservations, I attempted to recharge them according to the instructions. br>The first few melted immediately, in the first half of the time indicated, while the rest melted after being turned around. I'd like a refund, but since the return window has closed, I doubt it will be possible. I'm going to have to throw them away.

If you live in a humid climate, this is a must-have! I always keep desiccant packets on hand
5/5

I'm from a low-income neighborhood. The humidity is high all year in this tropical area. round - even when the air conditioning is turned on inside the house We also have a dehumidifier installed, but it doesn't do much to reduce moisture in enclosed spaces (such as closets, drawers, cabinets, and storage containers). We used one packet in each box of books and other items that attract moisture during a recent move before temporarily storing the boxes in a storage facility. unit. Although climate-controlled storage units are extremely expensive, everything survived the humid summer with no mold or mildew thanks to these packets in boxes and large storage bags. (To keep creepy crawlies out of storage boxes and bags, I sprayed a quick spritz with my natural, homemade bug repellant. ) Contains cedarwood, geranium, peppermint, and citronella oil, as well as a small amount of alcohol. )br>br>Anyway, I keep these packets in EVERY enclosed space/box/bag/closet/etc. in my house. Highly recommended!.

It does exactly what it says on the tin, and it's a fantastic deal
5/5

These are what I keep in my gun safe and ammo cans. They are extremely effective. I also put the color indicators to the test. They're completely correct. They stayed orange in a very dry and sealed ammo can, but they turned green after the same amount of time in a safe where moisture gets in, and the microwave does work to make them usable again. They turned orange again after all of the moisture evaporated as steam, just as they had predicted. Because there are so many in the pack, I believe they are ideal for safes and ammo cans. I simply stack them in the safe's corner.

Before they can recharge, they melt and burst
3/5

They work well if you don't need to recharge them. The color shift is also quite noticeable. Recharging, on the other hand, destroys them, as other reviews have pointed out. br>br>According to the instructions, a 700 watt microwave should take 9 to 12 minutes to defrost, and longer microwaves should take less time. I knew that anything left in my microwave for that long would be obliterated, so I double-checked the wattage. Okay, 1500 is fine. br>br>So I give it two minutes on defrost and they're still green but not melted. So I try defrosting for another minute, and then another. By the fifth minute of defrost, some of the beads had returned to their original color of orange. . . and the bags were melting and spilling their contents. If your microwave isn't very powerful, you might be able to recharge it. I'm not sure what I'm saying. I don't entirely regret the purchase because it was only $10, and I didn't need these very often, so they lasted a long time; however, if you expect to use and recharge them frequently, I'm not sure you'll be able to. EDIT: br>br> If you're having trouble charging these, I figured out a tricky way to do it in my 1500-watt microwave. br>br>The main issue is that any surface beneath the packs, whether it's a bowl or a glass microwave plate, will heat up enough to melt the packet by the time it's dehydrated. Also, any packet placed in the microwave's center will be obliterated. br>br>In order to protect my microwave plate from the glass, I layered two layers of dry paper towels on top of it. Then I only put packets around the outside of the middle, leaving the center empty. br>br>Then I defrosted for 1 minute. br>br>After that, I flipped each packet to the other side, giving the side that was facing the glass a break from the heat. br>br>After that, I defrosted for another minute. br>br>After that, I carefully removed the packets — they're hot! — and placed them on a wire rack in front of a fan. It only takes a few minutes for them to be easy to handle and cold enough to return to the microwave if necessary. br>br>After that, I went through each packet one by one, holding it up to the light to see if all of the green beads had turned orange. I returned most of the packets to the ziptop bag and sealed them because they were only orange and done. br>br>The packets containing the tenacious green beads were reheated according to the microwave instructions I gave earlier. For whatever reason, getting the green out took the entire two minutes; Personally, I haven't encountered any that were perfectly fine after just one minute. br>br>After that, I cooled them down and placed them in the bag with the rest. br>br>As a result, you can recharge these even in a powerful microwave; it's just finicky and inconvenient.

I adore the color-changing yellow beads! These dessicant sachets were purchased to be used in and around my crafting supplies
5/5

Washi tapes, paper pads, and ribbons are examples of items that can be used. We live in an old house that can get "wet" in the winter. br>br>The size of these packs is excellent - They're not so small that you wonder if they're working, but they're also not so big that they get in the way. br>br>My favorite part of the packs is the colorful yellow beads. They turn green once they've absorbed enough moisture. So there's no guessing whether or not they're working, and it's also a heads-up. It occurred to me that the items might be in a location that is more susceptible to dampness than I realized. br>br>In general - recommend them to them to.

They work great in the bags of my homemade cookies and beef jerky, keeping the foods dry and flavorful. I can't wait to use them in my spice bottles. I'll be placing additional orders.

It really works
5/5

True Citrus products, which come with silica packets to prevent clumping, are among my favorites. However, some of their products that I don't use as often can become clumpy before the bottle is finished. I've been using these instead of the silica packs, and I haven't had any problems with clumps forming in my True Citrus products, no matter how long ago they were opened before I finished them!.
