Because moisture causes metal to corrode and tarnish, a few of these packets would be ideal for storing alongside metal jewelry. If you live in an area where humidity and temperature change frequently throughout the year, you may want to pair them with glass jewelry. Just keep in mind that the packets should be changed out once a year. It's not a good idea to store wood or leather jewelry or accessories with them because they might dry out or crack.
In fact, that is exactly what I do with them. to keep shoes from getting ruined by humidity
The term "rechargeable" refers to the fact that once the packets have become saturated with moisture, they can be heated (usually in a microwave oven) to remove the moisture and make them reusable. Make sure to read the reviews for each brand because some packs haven't fared well in the microwave.

I bought two packs and counted them both; one had 84 packs and the other had 89. False advertising and a lack of quality control. There's a good chance that none or only a few of these packs contain the stated amount.
These are what I use to keep my seed collection in good condition. I save seeds from my heirloom vegetables year after year to save money on my garden. After the first year, when some of my seeds began to mold, I purchased these to help keep them dry and viable. They are effective. This year, I had some five-year-old seeds that germinated as if they were for the 2019 growing season. This was an excellent purchase. Since my collection has grown, I recently purchased a second order.
I got a 97 instead of the promised 100. I bought these to soak up any moisture that might have gotten into a phone that had been in the pool for 30 minutes. The phone is probably done, but I see that the rice method is no longer recommended because rice grains can get stuck in the ports and create a fine dust that can damage the inside as well. I'm using these packets as an extra step to hopefully draw out any moisture that may be lingering inside the phone after it's been sitting for 49 hours. br>br>In the future, I only intend to save these small items that come with other purchases. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> 8/20/2020br>These seem to be performing admirably for the purpose for which I purchased them. I stuffed a bunch of them into a Tupperware container, piled the water-damaged phone on top, and then buried it under more packets. This method worked, and the iPhone's water-damaged screen dried out completely within a few days, allowing the screen to return to its original state.
These are my favorite kinds of items. I use them to reseal aftermarket headlights and taillights that are prone to leaking if not resealed properly. Due to water entry and condensation that forms in your housings when they get hot, I always baked my lights apart and re-sealed them. I'll never pull these apart again now that I've used them. Because these are small enough to slip into your lens housings and be hidden from view. They're incredibly effective. And there's no going back for silica. All you have to do is heat them up to bring them back to life!.
I didn't like that the product came with no instructions. br>I understand how to use the product, but "how to use" would have provided more information. br>For example, how should extras be stored, and how many should be used for the container's size?.
I ordered a pack of 100 silica gel bags but only received 96 of them. Once your order has arrived, double-check it!.
Expensive syies and clothes don't deal well with humidity and moisture, so these are ideal for humidified homes. Take a look at these items. The bag was of good size and a reasonable price. I'd suggest it.
